"Hinata, how nice of you to finally join us!"
Shouyou stared at Yui. Yui felt so much bigger when Tobio wasn't there by his side.
"Hey." Shouyou took in his surroundings. They were right outside the track, the small wire fence was the only thing separating the three boys surrounding him, and the track.
"Say, what was that game you and your boyfriend were playing earlier?"
Shouyou knew he always had to choose his words carefully when surrounded by Yui and his friends.
"Well, it was a card game. Um, Spit."
"Oh, Spit! I know that one. Why don'tcha play with me?" Yui gave Shouyou a welcoming smile, "but not here."
"What? Why- why not?" Shouyou stammered out.
"Well this is a crowded area," Yui gestured to the distant sounds of kids in from beyond the school building.
"Oh. Okay," Shouyou complied.
Yui and his friends led Shouyou to a nearby playground. Upon closer inspection, Shouyou realized it was the playground he had spent the past few weeks going to.
Yui took out a deck of cards and placed it on a large square staircase leading to one of the slides. "Let's make this fun."
Shouyou looked around. Somehow, the playground he had learned to love and seek safety in had suddenly turned dull and honestly, quite scary.
"Go on," one of Yui's friends, Hashi, pushed Shouyou forward and toward the staircase.
"You win... and— y'know what —we won't bother you. Not now. Not ever again."
"Yui what the hell?" Hashi interrupted. Kaito, Yui's other friend, and subsequently, Shouyous' ex. Punched him in the gut with his elbow.
Shouyou took a step forward, "and if you win?"
Yui's face went dark. He stood and walked to Shouyou, lowering his head so he was looking straight down at the ginger. Their chests were almost touching.
"Aw, but telling you would ruin the surprise."
"Yui." Kaito glared sternly at Yui.
"It's nothing 'bad', Kaito. Actually-" Yui cut himself off and thought for a moment. "If I win, you have to get back together with Kaito. No more of that other fag you met, you've got your match right here!" Yui went over to Kaito and ruffled his hair.
"Yui what the fuck-"
"Shut up Kaito. You should be happy we still fucking talk to you after dining out you were faggot yourself." Yui went back over to the stairwell.
"So, what'll it be?"
Shouyou stared at Yui for a moment.
"You- you'll really stop?"
"Pinky swear," he smiled.
"Hinata whatever the fuck you're thinking, stop. I don't want to be with you as much, if not more than you want to be with me." Kaito interjected. This time, it was Hashi that punched Kaito in the stomach. Shouyou looked over to face the two.
"Okay. Fine."
Yui smiled.

"Kageyama!" Sugawara called from the doors to field. He and Daichi continued to run to him.
"Did he stop?" Daichi asked Sugawara as they gained on him. He was standing by the wire fence, unmoving. When they finally caught up to him, Kageyama spoke.
"He's not here."
