Kageyama isn't quite sure when it was that the two made it to Kageyama's house.

It must've been extremely late, but he was too focused on Shouyou to really notice something as trivial as the time.

So here he his, giving Shouyou a spate wash cloth and watching as his scrubs himself down (still wearing his clothes you perverts).

After a few minutes, Shouyou speaks up.

"Uh, I've got to wash um." He hesitates, but Kageyama knows exactly what he's talking so he takes his leave from the bathroom they were both in.

He uses his excess time to make some ramen along with a small bowl of rice.

He adds in a few extra spices, his mothers favorite ones to add, but mostly let's the ramen work its magic on its own.

Once everything is set up and cooking, he makes his way back upstairs to check on Shouyou.

He knocks on the bathroom door, signaling he's outside.

"You doing alright?"

"Uh, yeah," Shouyou softly replies.

"I'm making ramen. Once you're done, you can come downstairs."

"Okay."

Kageyama assumes that be the end of their conversation and walks back downstairs, hoping that during his leave he didn't accidentally set the house on fire with the running stove.

He sighs in relief and stirs the ramen a bit.

His parents aren't home. Not that they're gone a lot, they're just visiting some family out of the country. Kageyama's family lives all over the world and his parents like to keep in touch.

Kageyama says he needs to stay committed to volleyball but he really just doesn't like planes.

Once everything is cooked, he starts setting up the plates on his dining room table.

The ramen is Al dente, the way Kageyama likes, and he hopes Shouyou can agree on his pasta preferences.

He takes a seat at the table and waits for Shouyou to walk down the stairs and join him.

A few minutes pass before Kageyama makes his way back upstairs for the nth time.

"You sure you're alright?" Kageyama asks once he gets back to the door. He hears Shouyou scramble and he quickly opens the door, semi-greeting the taller.

"Sorry," Shouyou lowers his head. His eyes a new shade of bright red, like he had cried all the while he was in the bathroom. His hands are shaking and his knees look just a bit wobbly.

Kageyama decides not to mention it.

At least, not until later.

"C'mon, i made good ramen, even added my moms favorite spices," Kageyama smiles, and Shouyou attempts to do so back to him, but fails.

They both walk back downstairs and take a seat at the table.
