The business world tends to dominate the lives of many people. Amongst these people is my father—a man who is always hungry for money and power. As a kid, I always used to lose because of my father. Parents encourage their kids to strive for success, but my father was always the reason for my downfall. In a baseball match against my schoolmate in first grade, my father made me lose to make my opponent win so he could bag a business deal with the kid's father. He would always tell me to adjust for his sake. To make him win, I have been losing my whole life. People used to laugh at me and mock me. They called me a loser. My father never cared, though. Nothing but business mattered in his life. I was sick of losing. His problem was that he always told me to adjust when I didn't want to. If I keep adjusting, I'll always lose. No matter what he says, I won't become a loser. I promise myself one thing. Henceforth, there are no adjustments. I will never adjust for anybody. I'll do what I like and never do what I don't. I'll live my life on my own terms.

I'll never live my life on my own terms. The reason for that is my family. I come from a simple family. My family has me, my dad, my sister, and my grandmother. I have adjusted my whole life for their sake. My dad is a simple man who supports his family with a job that requires us to move around a lot. We have never lived in one place longer than two years. Adjusting became necessary. It was the only way to hide my problems from my dad. He was already trying so hard to keep the family together. Whenever we moved, I adjusted to the place and the people. I didn't live my life on my own terms; I don't, and I never will because I am living only for my family. They mean so much to me that I am willing to lose and miss out on all the fun opportunities in life to make them happy. Adjusting is necessary in life. Today, we have moved from Iowa to San Diego, California. This one is a massive move because the place is so big. I am unsure about living out here, but I know I must manage. No matter how vast California is, I have to adjust for the sake of my family.
