Evan (P.O.V.)
"Hey guys!" He said happily. "I'm finally back!... And this time, I'm back for good!"
"Ray!" Faith exclaimed, hugging him. "Welcome back!"
"Thank you."
"How are you feeling?"
"Never been better! How have you been?"
"Great!"
He smiled, looking in my direction.
I sighed, putting my hands in my pocket.
"I have to get to class, so I'll see you guys later," Faith said.
I nodded my head at her.
She smiled, walking away.
"Aren't you going to welcome me back?" Ray asked.
"Are you sure you won't go crazy on me?" I said.
"Evan, come on! I messed up big time. That wasn't even me."
"I know, but we both know that when a person is especially drunk, that person always speaks the truth. Why didn't you ever tell me that you felt like I was keeping you under my shadow?"
"I don't feel that way."
"Not even once?"
He started to look around.
"Exactly," I said.
"But can't we just put that behind us already?" He said. "I don't feel that way anymore...Everything that I have said or done to you...I know it's all wrong and messed up, but I...I think we should put it behind us...We've been friends for so long...I know we can make it out of this situation."
I sighed heavily.
The truth is that I'm not as confident about our friendship as I was before.
The day he said all those things about me, keeping him under my shadows his whole life, is when I lost hope that our friendship would be the same again.
I want things to be normal and like before, but I don't want to make him feel like he is nothing compared to Evan Owens.
I don't want him to think he is living under my shadows.
"We can at least try to make our friendship like before, right?" He asked.
I smiled weakly, nodding my head.

"We spent two weeks on four different works of alienation," Wong said. "Can somebody tell me these four works?"Wong started to look through the class when nobody answered.
"Ms. Stephenson!" He exclaimed. "Can you share the four different alienation works with the class?"
"Pregnant chicas don't got time for school!" Liliana said. "It's all about that baby now! There is no time for school anymore!"
Everybody in the class laughed, looking at Faith's friend.
I sighed heavily, shaking my head.
People in this damn school don't know how to mind their own business for some reason.
Every single one of them is nosey as hell.
It irritates me so much that they do not know how to mind their own business.
"Ms. Martinez, I would appreciate it if you stop commenting like that in my class," Wong said. "It would be nice if it stops at o-"
"Why do you need to request when you're the teacher?" I interrupted.
