Evan (P.O.V.)
"Okay," I said. "I guess...We...Uh...Have a deal."
"Y-y-y-yeah," She said, adjusting her hair.
It was weird.
We don't have deals.
Faith Davis and...Wait...That was wrong...Let me rephrase that.
Evan Owens and Faith Davis don't have deals.
Forget the deal; we have never had a normal conversation since we met.
But I don't know why I told her something so personal today.
What was I thinking? And now, here I am, making a deal with her when I could be using what she said against her.
I looked at my watch to see if five minutes was over.
She was silently looking at me as I kept my eyes on my watch.
"Ugh!" She said, making me look up at her. "You're so annoying. That was the worst five minutes of my life."
What!? Bullshit! No, that was the worst five minutes of my life, and now she dares to talk to me like that.
"That makes two of us!" I said for the second time tonight. "I've never been so bored and irritated before."
"Fine, then stop talking to me and leave." She said.
Who even wants to talk to her?
Everything that I said to her in stress was a mistake.
I didn't mean to tell her all that.
I was not going to leave, especially after she told me to.
I have never been the kind to be ordered around.
I've said it before, and I'll repeat it: People don't order me around; I order them around.
"You can leave if you want, but I won't leave just because you told me to," I said. "I don't take orders from anybody, especially not from a commoner."
Faith's eyes widened as she gasped.
"Commoner!" She exclaimed. "Then why are you here? This park is in my area. If I'm a commoner, everything in my neighborhood is also common."
What does this girl get from making me angry?
She always wants to argue with me.
Just like she is sick of fighting with her sister, I am sick of fighting with her.
But she never seems to get tired. She always wants to fight. She is freaking out as if I have said something wrong.
I'm not wrong because she is a commoner. And being a commoner, she has no right to order me around.
As far as being in her neighborhood is concerned, I had no idea this was her neighborhood.
After a nasty argument with my dad, I left the house for fresh air.
I was driving around, and that's when I saw this park.
It looked deserted, which I needed then, so I decided to chill at the park.
"Oh really?" I said sarcastically. "So now, you own the park too? Since when, though? I mean, where did you get the money from? Last time I checked, you couldn't even pay twenty-five thousand dollars."
"I'm done talking to you." She said. "I got better things to do than waste my time here with you."
Me too. I could think of many things to do rather than waste my time arguing with her.
