Faith (P.O.V.):

As a child, I was always loved and pampered by both of my parents.

They always loved Keisha and me equally.

They never brought differences between us.

If we gave up, they encouraged us.

If we fought, they would reunite us.

If we achieved something, they celebrated with us.

I always felt proud and lucky to have parents like that.

As a kid, I believed every parent was like my parents.

I believe they all were worried about, friendly to, and supportive of their kids.

But I had no idea some parents were selfish, mean, and self-centered.

I had no idea heartless parents even existed in this world.

I witnessed this when I went to Evan's house with him.

As he went back and forth with his parents, I couldn't help but wonder what kind of parents they were.

It was as if he didn't mean anything to them.

It seemed like he was their son just for the sake of it.

The way his dad told him to die somewhere was so ruthless.

Who says that their child? Their own blood? How did that even come out of his mouth? And that too so easily?

They don't even care about him or his feelings.

Evan did not lie when he called them money-minded.

They are money-minded, selfish people who don't even love and respect their children.

They put money above their children and seem to fail to see this.

It was so hard to stand there and witness all that.

It was so painful to see them talk to him like that.

They weren't even concerned about him or what he had to say.

Their guests were more important to them than their children.

He must feel ten times worse if I felt that so bad.

He must be upset and devastated.

I know he's been a real dick to me, but lately he's been helping me a lot.

Just for that sake, I wanted to help him, too.

Little did I know, he had his own share of problems at home.

One of the reasons why people call him perfect is for his perfect family.

They are not perfect, though. He doesn't have a perfect family. His family is a wreck.

Not that mine is any better, but his is far from perfect.

It's far from what people think of them.

He comes from a family where there is nothing but bitterness and hatred.

I feel sorry for him and wish I could have shown it.

I couldn't, though, not after everything his parents said to me.

They made me out to be this gold digger that I'm not.

They didn't even know me, yet they judged me immediately.

Upon seeing me, they decided that I was this gold digger after their son's money.
