Hey, I am sorry for the delay. I have been swamped lately. That is why I couldn't update. But now I have finished a new chapter, and it's a long one. I hope you enjoy it, and please don't forget to vote, comment, and share.

Evan (P.O.V.)"Evan, one week is too near," Faith said. "If Ray turns 18 in a week, then..."
"I know," I said absently. "Then all his property will be lost for good."
"He is not even in his senses at the moment. He will sign these papers if his condition remains the same."
I sighed heavily, feeling frustrated.
"Did you guys find the machine?" Somebody asked from behind us.
The lady from before walked into the apartment.
"Did you guys find it?" She asked once again.
Faith and I exchanged looks.
The lady looked at us confusedly.
"No!" Faith exclaimed quickly.
The lady looked at us suspiciously.
"I mean, the machine is nowhere to be found..." Faith said. "Maybe...Maybe she took it with her."
"Oh." The lady said. "Well, I am sorry that your son has to endure so much."
"Yeah, it's very unfortunate."
"I wish there was a way that I could help you guys."
"It's alright. You have already done enough but can do one thing for us."
"What is it?"
"Please inform us whenever Jacqueline comes by."
"I would be more than happy to do that."
Faith wrote her number on paper and handed it to the lady.
The lady smiled, taking the paper.
"I will inform you guys." She said.

"What is that?" She asked.
Faith and I once again exchanged looks.
"These...Um, these..." Faith said. "These papers they...they..."
"They belong to me," I said.
"What kind of papers are th-"
"Thank you for your help." I interrupted. "I think we should get going now."
The lady looked at me, frowning.
Faith smiled at her weakly, looking at me angrily.
I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
Faith handed the lady the keys.
"Thank you once again." She said.
The lady nodded her head.
"Now, you two take care of your kid." The lady said. "Make sure you take him to the doctor and get him a new machine."
Faith nervously nodded her head.
I sighed heavily, and we walked out of the apartment.
"I feel so bad." Faiths said as we walked. "We deceived her. She believes that we have a sick son."
"We needed the keys," I said. "We got it, and now, we also have the papers. Who cares about the lady?"
"She seemed like a very nice la-"
