Faith (P.O.V.)
The hallways of Clairemont were crowded.
The school was packed with people.
I somehow managed to find my new locker.
When I got to my locker, I noticed a group of girls looking at me and giggling.
It was annoying to me how people kept looking at me like I was some freak.
"You know they are just jealous of you," A voice said behind me.
I turned around and saw a boy with curly hair.
"What do you mean?" I asked with a confused look.
"You look decent." He said, adjusting his glasses. "Nobody around here ever looks decent."
"That's interesting, I guess."
"I suppose you are new here."
I nodded my head.
"My name is Max Michaelson," He said, extending his hand.
"I'm Faith Davis," I said, shaking his hand.
"How do you like it here so far, Faith?"
I chuckled, shaking my head.
"I don't know," I said. "I mean, the campus is excellent, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to like it here, but I'm not sure about the people here."
"You will be fine," Max said, adjusting his glasses again. "They are just staring at you because you are different."
"Is it just me, or do all the girls here look funny?"
"Oh, it is normal here. There is nothing funny about it, according to them."
I chuckled at his response.
Max and I got to know each other.
He is a lovely person.
He showed me the school and helped me find my other classes in case we didn't see each other during the day.
The day was going pretty slow.
I hated being the center of attention in almost all my classes.
The only class I felt normal in was American Government, and I liked that class because my new friend Max also had that class.
He is a nerd, but so what?
He is the most realistic person I met ever since I started Clairemont.
My last class was very dull.
Some girls who sat near me were starting to annoy me, so I used the bathroom as an excuse to get away from class.
On my way back from the bathroom, I noticed strange noises from a nearby class.
I looked at the sign next to the classroom door and found out that the class was video game design.
Curiosity got the better of me, and I stopped to see the class.
The classroom is crowded.
Many people are taking this video game design class.
The teacher got the class's attention to announce something.
"Class, this is Robert." He said. "He is new to this class. Please welcome him, and I want him to join Evan's group."
Everybody looked back at a boy with the most perfect posture I have ever seen.
"Will Robert be able to do this?" The boy asked. "I mean, he did just come today."
"Don't worry. I am sure he will after seeing how your group operates."
