Evan (P.O.V.)

My life hasn't been the same since Faith Davis came.

I hate how she changed things the moment she came.

Everything in Clairemont has always been about me.

People worshipped and feared me.

I always got everything I wanted, but ever since the cafeteria incident with Jake and the jocks, everybody has been talking about Faith Davis like she was some hero.

I'm not too fond of the way she looks at me.

I want to see desperation and fear in her eyes, but I don't see it every time I look at her.

I want to hear fear in her voice, but I hear confidence.

I want her to bow down to me, but she has her head held high whenever she sees me.

I hate how she embarrasses me in front of the whole school.

After the drama she created in Wong's English class about me adjusting, I figured it was time for her to realize who she messed with.

*** Flashback ***

After leaving Wong's class, I realized I had forgotten my binder, so I returned to get it.

When I was about to walk into his class, I saw Faith talking to Wong, so I stopped to eavesdrop on their conversation.

"Do you want to say something?" Wong asked, not looking up from the papers he was grading.

"I wanted to apologize for my behavior in class today, Mr. Wong," Faith said. "It was very unacceptable. I didn't want to make a bad impression in your presence, but I don't know what comes over me when I see Evan Owens."

"I appreciate what you did in class today, Ms. Davis. I appreciate that you did what you were told without arguing."

"Mr. Wong, please don't call my dad. He would be so shattered if he learned what happened in class today. I can't see him hurt or disappointed."

"Don't worry, Ms. Davis, I will not call your father. You haven't done anything wrong for me to call your dad. I am proud of you for fighting for yourself and what's rightfully yours. When I call your dad, it will be when I tell him what a great student you are."

"Thank you, Mr. Wong," Faith said with a big smile.

"Hey, Evan!" Brittany said, breaking my thoughts. "What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing," I answered with a sigh.

"Come on, Evan! You don't have to hide anything from me. It's okay to think about me."

"I wasn't thinking about you."

"Or about the drama that went down today in your English class."

"How do you know that?"

"It's everywhere. Everybody knows."

I sighed and rolled my eyes.

Brittany chuckled and sat on my lap.

"Don't worry, babe. She is just another desperate girl who wants to be with you. When she faces the consequences of messing with you, she will not dare to even look in your direction."

"You're right," I said with a smirk.

Britt was right about Faith facing the consequences of messing with me.
