"How are you feeling now, Mr. Owens?" Dr. Kay asked, wrapping a bandage around Evan's head.
"I'm good," Evan replied.
"I will prescribe you some medicine, and then you will be good to go."
Evan nodded his head.
Dr. Kay smiled, leaving the room.
"Are you sure you're okay?" I asked him, touching his arm.
"I'm fine." He said. "Please tell me you still have the papers I gave you."
"Yes, I do. I left them in the car."
Evan sighed in relief.
"Here is your prescription, Mr. Owens." Dr. Kay said as soon as he walked into the room.
Evan tried to stand up but ended up stumbling.
I wrapped my hands around his waist, placing his arms on my shoulders.
"You're not that strong yet." Dr. Kay said. "At least until tomorrow. Get plenty of rest tonight, and don't forget to take the medicine. Starting from tomorrow, you won't need help in walking."
"Thank you, Dr. Kay," I said.
Dr. Kay nodded his head, leading us out of the room.

On our way back from the hospital, I drove Evan's car to his house.
When we got there, I wrapped my hands around his waist again, placing his arms on my shoulders.
I helped Evan into the house.
His sister approached us right when we walked in.
"Evan!" She exclaimed. "Oh my god! Why do you have a bandage around your head!? Why are you walking like that!? Who did this to you!? How!? And why!?"
"Lisa, can I at least sit down?" Evan asked, sounding annoyed.
She nodded her head, and we both helped him sit down.
"Evan, what happened?" Lisa asked.
Evan and I exchanged looks.
"I...Uh...I...I hit...I hit my head..." Evan lied.
"You what?" She said.
"Yeah...I..hit it on the wall...The school wall.."
"But how? How did yo-"
"Because what goes around comes around, Lisa!" Someone interrupted.
Evan sighed, removing his phone from his pocket.
I turned around to see who it was.
It's Evan's parents.
His mom had her arms crossed over her chest, while his dad had a big smile on his face.
"People like Evan can fly as high as they want, but in the end, they will always fall flat on their face." Evan's dad said, walking towards us.
"Dave is right." His mother agreed, walking behind her husband. "It's all karma. He insulted Dave and broke an essential partnership."
"He dared to make a mockery out of me. Now, look at his condition."
"Mom! Dad!" Lisa exclaimed. "Stop it! How can you two be so selfish!? Evan is hurt, and all you people are concerned about is some stupid partnership!"
"Of course we are!" Evan's dad said. "Of course, I am concerned about my partnership! It's not like Evan is concerned about me too! Why will I be worried about him when he doesn't feel the same way about me? He has not only ruined my partnership but also turned Jacob against me! He has destroyed all the hard work that I have done these past years! Now, he also deserves to suffer! He deserves to suffer just like I did!"
