Faith (P.O.V.)
'I'm giving you six hours. Six hours for you to decide if you want to pay the money or if you want the punishment.'
'You and your family will have to pay the fine for the damage you have done.'
'Your every movement will be under the control of this trash. You will do everything after asking me. You will live your life on my terms.'
'If I say sit, you will sit. If I say get up, you will get up. If I say walk, you will walk. If I say to talk, you will talk. If I say to eat, you will eat. If I say to be quiet, you will be quiet. In short, you will be like my maidservant.'
It is midnight, and I can't sleep.
Evan's every word and action was running through my mind like crazy.
I don't understand what Evan wants from me.
It looks like he has decided that he will make my life hell no matter what.
I couldn't get his words out of my mind all day.
I feel like that is all I have been doing lately.
Evan Owens is the only person I think about all day.
He put me in such a helpless situation. I don't even know what to do.
You know what, now I'm even beginning to doubt if the accident was real.
Evan freaking Owens probably sent his friend to go under my car purposely so that he could blackmail me into following his orders.
But then the poor boy was bleeding so much.
He was in so much pain, and he was also unconscious. And the doctors also said he was critical.
Ugh, I hate Evan Owens.
No, not Evan Owens --- Arrogance Owens!
That's precisely what he is. He is arrogant, insolent, rude, impolite, wicked, disrespectful, evil, mean, arrogant, narcissistic, selfish, and, ugh, that's all I can come up with now.
I have to do something, though.
If Dad and Grandma find out, I almost ran over a boy- no, not just any boy. I ran over a rich boy.
My dad and Grandma will kill me.
They will kick me out of the house and out of their life.
God, what am I going to do? How will I get out of this mess?

I couldn't get much sleep all night.
It was so hard to get out of bed the following day that I couldn't get my legs to move.
"What's wrong? Why ain't you up yet?"
I looked up and saw Grandma standing at the door.
"Grandma.." I groaned.
"It's 7:00 a.m.," Grandma said, sitting on my bed. "You're always up before 6, so why ain't you up yet?"
"Grandma, I couldn't sleep all night, and now I feel lazy," I said. "I don't want to get out of bed and go to school."
"What are you worried about that you couldn't sleep all night?"
"Grandma, that stupid Arrogance freaking Owens is driving me crazy. Grandma, he is r-"
"I've been tryin' to get you to date for so long, and now you finally decided to date somebody. I'm so happy you're finally in love. A boy is driving you crazy."
