Episode 27: Wally and Pika

The Planters walk through the forest towards a grove of berry bushes while carrying baskets, "Now remember, green and red, be well fed. Blue and red, instantly dead." Hop-pop said as he held a green and red berry, Sprig shoved a bunch into his mouth and started chewing. "Oh, wait. Or was that 'Green and red, instantly dead'?" Hop-pop questioned, Sprig hearing Hop-pop's uncertainty on which red berry is good spat out all of the berries and caught up with him, Pika wasn't paying much attention as they pulled a mushroom out of the ground and inspected it "Hmm... yep, sure is a mushroom, poisonous? unknown, " Pika said before seeing a shadowy figure run pass and a twig snapping."Huh? did anyone else see... that?" Pika asked the Plantars who were still walking away, "Purple and green heals the spleen." Hop-pop said,"Uh guys!" Pika called out, the shadowy figure crawled past again."Huh? what the fuck is that?" Pika questioned as they went to investigate, they ended up falling into a bush, when they pushed some tall grass out of the way they gasped as they saw a huge moss figure with 2 bushes sticking out from it's head "holy shit-" Pika uttered as a butterfly flew into their throat, causing them to choke, they coughed trying to dislodge the butterfly, hearing the noises the huge moss figure fled "no wait, come back you're so cool..." Pika said between coughs as they laid on the ground, the butterfly flew out of Pika's mouth and flew away as the Plantars walked up to Pika, "There you are." Hop-pop said as he found Pika on the ground "You guys missed it!" Pika told the Plantars "What, you barfing up a butterfly? Naw, we totally saw that." Sprig answered "No, no, no, no. There was this magical creature made of moss. It was beautiful." Pika explained, the Plantars laughed "Good one, Pika. Saw the ol' "Moss Man," huh?" Sprig said "mhm, sounds right" Pika answered "Pika, the Moss Man's a myth. Only crazy people and gullible tadpoles believe in it." Hop-pop explained, Pika looked at them in disbelief "so let me get this straight. you have giant fire-breathing beavers and mutant centipedes, but you don't believe in a moss man?!" they asked "Well, yeah, we've seen those. Look, your world might have stuff like flying machines and magic memory boxes. But we don't have weird stuff like that here. This is just a normal town." Sprig argued, Pika again stared at the Planters in disbelief "YALL ARE TALKING FROGS!" They yelled before taking a deep breath "You know what, i am done talking about it" Pika said

In Town:

"I am not done talking about it." Pika argued, Polly groaned "Still?" she asked "I'm tellin' you guys, I saw it, I saw it, I saw it." Pika argued "Careful, Pika. You keep rantin' and ravin', you'll put One-Eyed Wally out of a job." Hop-pop joked "Ha! They totally does sound like Wally." Sprig laughed, Pika gasped "Take that back! i am nothing like Wally! I am a sane person who saw the moss man!" Pika yelled "So! You've seen the Moss Man too, eh?" Wally asked, Pika looked at him with just one thought in their mind.'Why does Em like this frog again?'  "I seen it once. Deep in the moors where it makes its home and feeds on mist. Skin of moss, it had. Took me hand clean off, it did." Wally explained."You have both hands, Wally" Pika told Wally, Wally looked to see both of his hands."Lefty! When did you get back?" Wally said, relieved. The Plantars all giggled."Stop it!" Pika yelled at them."I know it sounds insane when one eye wally said it, but i am very sure about what i saw! even if i am visually impaired right now!" Pika argued."Whatever you say..." Polly said before snickering and continued."One-eared Pika." "Huh? Oh, I get it. Like One-Eyed Wally. Sharp as ever, sis." Sprig said before the siblings high-fived, Pika looked at them slightly hurt."You might as well start learnin' the accordion. And sleepin' under bridges." Hop-pop joked, the Plantars all laughed as Pika stared at them all hurt by their jokes."Ouch..." Pika muttered as they pulled their sleeves over their hands and tried to act ok despite the tears forming in their eyes."Wouldn't want to be that guy." Wally said before crawling away. The Plantars all began getting on Bessie, but Sprig stopped and turned to Pika."Pika, actually, I believe you..." Sprig said, "Thanks, " Pika said weakly, trying to hide their hurt from everyone around them. "...dreamt it. I believe you dreamt it." Sprig said, finishing his last statement, Pika stared at Sprig for a second before putting their headphones on and listened to music
