Episode 8: Taking Charge

Warning! contains swearing, a bit of violence and spoilers for Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc

In the living room the planters are on the couch, Hop-pop reading a book and Sprig throwing Polly up in the air the planter kids were laughing "Whoa! Whoo! Higher!" Polly said between laughs but then they heard a scream, 

Hop-pop and Sprig both went "Huh?" and Polly landed on sprig's head, 

that's when Pika popped out of the basement holding their phone "Guys, guys, guys, guys, guys! Look!" They quickly said as they showed their phone screen, 

Polly got on top of Sprig's head to see what Pika was showing clearly and she asked "What are we looking at here?" 

"'Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc' It's a game/anime series i enjoyed, i got the games and didn't even notice, it must have auto-downloaded when I got an app store gift card" Pika explained while getting on the couch which confused the Planters 

"Who's this Otto?" Sprig asked 

"And how did you download him?" Polly continued 

"Just watch" Pika said as they pressed start new game

the video started playing and when the characters started to pop up sprig called out "Look! More Pikas!" 

"Ha ha! They have noses" Polly laughed, 

once the opening ended Sprig and Polly looked starstruck while hop-pop looked repulsed by the game and asked "What is this demonic nonsense?" 

"Hop-pop, this game's got loveable characters doing average things while they try to not die! It's literally perfect" Pika explained, 

"Awesome!" Sprig cheered while Polly yelled 

"Let's do it!" but Hop-pop interrupted the fun by saying 

"Now, hold on. Instead of that garbage, how 'bout I treat you to some real entertainment?" 

Sprig and Polly knew what was going to happen as they both muttered "Oh, no." 

"A scene from The Shallow Pond" Hop-pop continued before he cleared his throat "Sadness. The world is sadness. But look. There. A pond! Is it deep? Or shallow?" Hop-pop acted out, 

no one said anything for a second after Hop-pop finished but then the kids all chanted "Danganronpa, Danganronpa, Danganronpa," 

Hop-pop gave in and yelled "Okay! Fine!" to which the kids cheered before Hop-pop says "But just one"

Late at night

The planter house residents all sat on the couch eyes glued onto the small screen as Pika played the game but Hop-pop seemed disinterested "I, Celestia Ludenberg- actually, no... Taeko Yasuhiro is fine" Celestia Ludenberg said which surprised Polly "she just gave up?" Sprig muttered, Pika hummed in confirmation as Hop-pop rolled his eyes and grumbles, after a few minutes Pika chanted the phrase "It's Punishment time!!" then they watched Celestia burn and then get ran over by a fire truck "Yowch, that must hurt like shit" Pika muttered they continued playing until they were about to reveal the 4th trial victim, they then saved the game "And that's enough murder for tonight, i will need to prepare for the victim and class trial" Pika said as they turned their phone off
