You are a brick tied to me that's dragging me down. Strike a match and I'll burn you to the ground.
The lyrics of The Phoenix echoed trough my head while I waited for the train. I'd plugged my earphones in and sat on a bench reading Fall Out Boy fanfic on my phone. That was all I would do these days. I locked the screen and got up when the train arrived. I was alone on the platform and there didn't seem to be anyone on the train either. The doors opened and I got on. I was heading for Antwerp where I was meeting a friend for coffee. It was only a twenty minute train drive from were I lived, a small town in Belgium nobody knew. I sat down in a seat close to the door and focused on my phone again.

I had just finished a story when the train came to a stop and a lady on the speaker announced that we had arrived on our destination. I shove my phone into my pocket, still listening to Fall Out Boy and got of the train. I walked up the stairs heading at Starbucks for coffee. When I got my cup I walked outside and sat at one of the tables waiting for my friend. She arrived ten minutes later, also with a coffee in her hand. I stood up to give her a hug. "Hi Anna, how are you?"
I sat back down and she took the seat next to me.
"Great, thanks. So tell me, what's the problem?"

I sighed. A couple of days ago I'd found out Fall Out Boy was coming to Belgium. It would be my first concert and I'd been so exited not knowing that my parents wouldn't let me go. "Well I asked my parents... I can't go."

"What?!" She looked at me with big eyes. "You can't be serious?"

I shook my head and took another sip of my coffee. "They think I'm too young."

"You're almost sixteen, how long are they gonna treat you like a baby?"

"I don't know Anna, I tried but they won't listen to anything I have to say."

Anne put her hand on my arm, comforting me. "We still have a couple of months, we'll convince them."

I truly hoped so.

We sat there talking for an hour or so when Anna got up. "I need to get going, my mom wants me to help moving."

I also got up and gave her a hug. "Okay, bye."

She walked away and I went back inside to get another coffee. I walked around while sipping from my cup. Looking at he clothes behind the windows, I went shopping earlier that week so I was sort of broke. I felt my phone buzz and pulled it out of my pocket. A text from my mom.
I was still looking at my phone when I bumped into someone, spilling my coffee on his shirt. "Oh I'm so sorry!" I looked up and felt my heart skip a beat. Holy crap! That's Patrick stump!

"It's okay." Patrick smiled at me

"I'm so stupid, sorry... Here." I handed him a tissue. He took it and began cleaning up his shirt. "It's fine, my fedora is okay that's the most important." He laughed. I laughed to and then I realized I had my Fall Out Boy top on. I tried to hide it but it was to late.

"Nice shirt by the way."

I blushed. "Thanks."
Patrick threw the tissue in a bin and reached his hand out. "I'm Patrick."
I took his hand shook it. "Ali."
"So Ali, are you doing anything right now?"
"No, why?"

"I want to buy you a coffee since I spilled yours."

"Oh no you really don't have to, it was my fault!"

He smiled. "But I want to."

Hey guys, thank you for reading this. It's my first fanfic so I hope you like it! And also sorry for my crappy English, I live in Belgium so sorry. I will try to update as much as possible but I'm super busy with school so I can't promise anything.
