"So you haven't seen him in five years?"

I shook my head. "No, things ended badly for us so we broke all contact. Even the other boys."

Stacy shook her head in disbelieve and looked down at her coffee. "I always thought you guys were perfect for each other."

I sighed. "Yeah, so did I." I took a deep breath, put on a smile and looked up from the picture I was holding. "But apparently we weren't." I took one last look at the picture, taken on the day it all went wrong, and then put it back in my purse. "Doesn't matter, I'm long over him and I bet he doesn't even remember me and I've heard he has a kid now."

We both paid for our coffee and got up. "What time was this reunion again?" Stacy checked her phone. "It starts in an hour." I sighed again. "Great." I really didn't want to go but Stacy made me, she said it would be fun. Fun. Like seeing the people that destroyed your life again would be fun. We decided to walk there since we both didn't own a car and we promised to help with the preparations, well Stacy promised and made me come to. I loved her but sometimes she could be a little annoying and she knew it too. But I was lucky with a friend like her, she picked me up when all my other friends had left me and she had never left my side since. And now, I had to see them all again and talk about fun memories together. It took us only half an hour to get there and I sighed as I looked up at the huge mansion. At least one of us ended up alright. I walked up the stairs to the front door and knocked, almost immediately a blonde girl in a tight, red dress opened the door. She was a couple of inches taller than me but when I looked down I could see why. She was wearing insanely high heels which matched her dress.

"Ali, Stacy, so good to see you!" She said in a high pitched tone while hugging us. "Come in."

She took our coats as she closed the door behind us and pointed us to the living room. "Thank you so much for helping with this, I want it to be perfect." I put on a smile and looked at her. "No doubt it will be." Stacy quickly cut me off before I could say anything else. "So what can we do?"

"Well, I could use some help with the drinks."

We followed her to the kitchen, which was huge by the way, and started on the drinks. "It's actually really nice to see you two again. It's a shame we didn't meet up earlier."

"Oh I think you know why that is Anna."

Stacy elbowed me and shot me a fierce look. Anna sighed. "I thought you would be over that."

"Over what? The fact that my best friend dropped me like a sack of potatoes when I was no further use to her?"

Anna stopped with what she was doing and took a step closer to me. "Don't pretend it's all my fault, you have an even share in this. Don't go denying it."

I took a deep breath, for what seemed the millionth time today, and turned back to the drinks. I don't think hitting her would solve anything at the moment. We worked in silence for the couple of minutes. I was lost in thoughts, memories. The day she dropped me replayed before my eyes over and over. The tears started to well up in my eyes. Stacy sensed something was wrong and grabbed my hand. I looked at her from the corned of my eye and forced a smile. I wiped the tears from my eyes and looked up. "Where's the bathroom?"

"Down the hall the first door on the right."

I bolted out the kitchen and raced to the bathroom. This night was going to be a disaster. If I couldn't handle Anna what would happen when I saw the rest of my friends again? I slammed the door shut and locked it. I put my back against the wall and slid down 'till I was sitting on the cold tile floor. Breath just breath. After a couple of minutes I felt like I was calm enough and got back up. I quickly fixed my make up in the mirror and went back to the kitchen. Stacy looked relieved and rushed over to me. "Are you alright? I'm sorry I shouldn't have made you come."
I shook my head. "No Stacy, I'm fine. Really."
Just then Anna walked back in. "Oh great you're back, I need some help in the living room. Stacy, would you mind finishing up in here?"
I nodded and followed Anna. As soon as Stacy couldn't hear us anymore she turned around. "I'm sorry. I know it's mostly my fault but I really wanna put this behind us and have fun tonight."

"Yeah sure."

"You should too." She grabbed my hand and squeezed it lightly.

"I'll try."

-TIME SKIP TO THE REUNION-

I was just talking with some of my old friends when Stacy appeared next to me, she seemed worried about something.
"Hey Stacy what's wrong?"

"He's here"

"Who?"

Stacy opened her mouth but quickly shut it again and motioned with her head to look behind me. I slowly turned around and gasped.

"Hey ali." The all to familiar voice said. I looked into his beautiful brown eyes and felt like I was fifteen years old all over again.

"Pete..."
