Ms. Stewart was out for her monthly visit to the hair salon, which meant Juniper was home alone – which meant she could sneak out and go to Brittany's. Might as well take her up on that offer to make out while she still had the chance. She'd been questioning things for a while – and it was no secret that Brittany was bi – so maybe Juniper could get some advice from her.
"So this is my room," said Brittany, doing a little twirl. "And that's Lord Tubbington," she added, pointing to a chubby cat.
"Aw, he's so cute," Juniper smiled and leaned down to scratch the cat behind the ears, getting a purr of approval from him. "You look like a trouble maker, little guy."
"You have no idea," said Brittany, flopping down on her bed. She patted the spot next to her and Juniper sat down.
They were quiet for a moment. Lord Tubbington jumped up on the bed and curled up at the brunette's feet.
"How did it happen?" Brittany asked in a gentle voice. "You never talk about it."
Juniper sighed and ran a hand through her hair. Brittany opened her arms and the smaller girl leaned into her, resting her head on the blonde's shoulder. Brittany held her close and lightly ran a finger up and down her arm.
"It was raining and they were on their way to pick me up from a friend's house," Juniper said. "They never showed up. A police man showed up at my friend's house and told me they died in a car crash. I've been in foster care ever since."
"I'm so sorry, Juniper," said Brittany.
"Yeah, me too," the Latina mumbled, cuddling closer to the taller girl. "Britt?"
"Yeah?"
"How did you know you weren't straight?" asked Juniper, looking up at Brittany.
"Why choose between boys and girls when you can have them both?" she shrugged.
"Good point," Juniper laughed a little.
"Why do you ask?"
"I've been thinking about it," she admitted. "But I don't know for sure."
Brittany shifted a little so that she was on top of the smaller girl.
"You wanna know for sure, right?" she asked, a smirk forming on her face as the brunette nodded. "Then let me help you," she whispered and leaned in to connect their lips.

"Alright guys," said Mr. Schue as he walked into the choir room. "We're doing a new number for sectionals. I know that pop songs have sort of been our signature pieces, but I did do a little research on past winners and it turns out that the judges like songs that are more accessible. Stuff they know. Uh, standards, Broadway."
"Defying Gravity?" asked Kurt, excitement in his voice as he looked at the sheet music Mr. Schue was passing out. "I have an iPod shuffle dedicated exclusively to selections from Wicked. This is amazing."
"Think you can handle it Rachel?" asked Mr. Schue. Kurt's smile faded.
"It's my go-to shower song. It's also my ringtone," Rachel replied.
"Why do we have to go all vanilla on this song?" asked Mercedes. "See, what we need is my chocolate thunder."
"We don't have time to rearrange the song for you, Mercedes. Don't worry, we'll find something for you to dip in chocolate. On to item two. The school won't pay for the special bus we need to take Artie and his wheelchair with us to sectionals."
"What?" asked Tina.
"That's completely unfair," said Juniper, shaking her head.
"We're going to have to raise money to pay for it ourselves. See, when I was in Glee Club and we needed new silk cummerbunds for regionals, we held a bake sale."
