"I heard you have a date today," Lizzie said as soon as she walked out of her room.

"How did you even find out about that??"

"I'm your sister, and I have my ways" the blonde raised her eyebrows repeatedly in a mocking way.

"But yeah I am going out on a date with Jade in a couple of hours..."

"Hours! why didn't you tell me?? mom the date is in a few hours!" Lizzie yelled out.

"You told mom??"

"Of course, I told mom," Lizzie said dragging her sister into the living room.

"My knee my knee," Josie said as she hopped on one leg, trying not to drop her crutch as the blonde pulled her to where their mom was.

"Okay mom I have to give your daughter a complete makeover for her date today and I need your opinions."

The older woman looked between her daughters "Josie blink twice if you need help" she whispered playfully.

"Ugh, rude," Lizzie said before turning to her sister "do you know where she's taking you?"

"She texted that she's taking me to the grill."

"How... basic... but I will make due, we are going to go with a casual look," Lizzie said before running into the room and coming out with a red short summer dress.

"Wear this and it will seal the deal" she handed it to her.

"Thanks... but it's only a date it's not a big deal..."

Lizzie shared a look with her mother.

"Okay first of all you never date! so it is a big deal."

Josie just sighed and shook her head "it's just dinner with a girl from my soccer team... it's not, and I should probably go shower and start getting ready."

"Okay, Josette," Lizzie said as she watched her sister walk toward the bathroom.

"I can't wait to embarrass her when Jade gets here," the blonde said to her mom who laughed in response.

"I heard that!" Josie called out.

"You were meant you!"

When Josie walked out of her room her mom and sister were holding up their phones taking pictures with the flash.

"Are you kidding me" she groaned and blocked their cameras.

"We are just being supportive" the blonde smiled.

"Yeah well, you-" the brunette was cut off by the sound of knocking at the door, she turned to her family "don't you dear make any noise until we leave."

Josie went over to the door before walking it out and closing it behind her, when she looked over she saw Jade in a simple white V-neck shirt and black pants.

"Hi" the blonde smiled at her.

"Hi," Josie said.

"You ready to go?"

"Jade and Josie sitting in a tree k I s s i-"
she heard from the other side and immediately started pushing the girl towards the car.

"Yeah, I'm ready let's go."

The mystic grill was pretty packed for a weekday, there were about fifteen people around the whole restaurant.

"We should take that booth in the corner" Jade pointed.

The brunette nodded and they made their way over and sat down, a moment later a waiter came up to them and handed them menus.

"I just wanted to say, thank you for coming on a date with me... I've liked you for a while now..."

"Of course Jade I-" her words died in her throat when she looked over and saw the last person she ever wanted to be in the same restaurant with.

Hope.

"Fuck" she mumbled.

"What?" Jade asked looking up from her menu.

"Bathroom, I've got to use the bathroom," the brunette said getting up.

"Oh okay, if the waiter comes I'll tell him to wait," she said and Josie nodded.

The girl went to the bathroom, once she was in she went to the sink and looked at herself in the mirror, and fixed her makeup.

A moment later the bathroom door was opened revealing Hope.

Because of course, Hope was going to end up in the same bathroom as her.

"Are you stalking me or something?" Josie asked.

Hope's eyebrows furrowed together "I didn't even know you were here how could I be stalking you."

"Oh, so you didn't just see me walk in here?"

Hope kept quiet.

"That's what I thought" she rolled her eyes.

"Look I just hated the way we ended things the other day, I'm sorry for what happened and I do hope we can move forward and that you don't hold a grudge."

"It's not that simple."

"But it is! you can forgive me! we can be civil!"

"You're going to have to earn that," Josie said closing her makeup palette and turning to Hope "I should be going, my date is waiting."

Josie smiled at Jade as she sat down.

The auburn-haired girl watched them from her place at the bar.
