When Josie walked into the school bright and early Monday morning she was immediately swarmed by her teammates at the entrance.
"Are you okay?"
"What happened?"
"Are those crutches?"
The brunette looked at them a bit overwhelmed by all of the attention "coach was right I dislocated my knee, they put it back in and gave me a brace, and I need to use the crutches for a few weeks."
"When will you be able to play again?" Jade crossed her arms and looked at her worriedly.
"Well four to six weeks but even after that I still have to do Physical Therapy to get it back to normal, it dislocated pretty bad" Josie sighed.
"Aw, I'm sorry Josie" Maya rubbed her back "we're going to miss you at practice."
"Maybe Josie can be our water boy" Dana smirked.
"No thank you" the brunette chuckled "I should probably get to class."
"I'll walk you" Jade offered.
"Yeah okay," she smiled slightly and began making her way down the hall using her crutches.
"I actually wanted to ask you something," the girl said.
"What did you want to ask?" Josie said stopping in front of her classroom.
"Not right now, meet me in the girl's locker room after school, right before practice starts."
Josie just nodded slowly, the girl smiled at her before walking away.
When the brunette made her way into class
she felt the gaze of her classmates on her, most were giving her looks of pity, and others were scowling at her, probably mad at the girl for helping the school lose their first soccer game of the season. With a sigh, she ignored them all and took a seat next to her friend Jed who was drawing doodles on the side of his assignment."Dude."
"Dude."
"Dude!"
The auburn jumped awake, hearing her roommate yelling her name in her ear. When she looked around she saw Jen standing right next to her bed staring down at her.
"That's not creepy at all... what do you want" she yawned.
"Get up everyone is celebrating our win before classes start" the girl put on her beanie.
"Why should I care?" Hope said putting the cover over her shoulder.
"Well, you helped us win taking out their striker and all" Jen smirked.
The auburn-haired girl sat up and punched her roommate in the shoulder.
"Ow ow ow!" Jen whined, "don't do that I was kidding!"
"So was I" Hope glared and got out of bed.
When the striker was ready and dressed she made her way down to the dining hall where she saw a congratulations banner hung up, her teammates were all at a table eating what looked like pieces of, what used to be soccer cake.
