Since Hope had made things official with Josie she had been wanting to tell her mother. Hayley knew of her feelings for Josie but she has been keeping a lot from her.

"Are you sure you want me to be there when you tell her?" Josie said as they got out of the car.

Hope looked at her girlfriend and nodded "yeah it would make me less nervous if I had you there to support me."

The brunette smiled and leaned over, placing a kiss on the girl's cheek. Hope gave the girl a grin before opening the door to her house and walking in with the girl.

Lucky for them when they walked in Hayley was sitting on the couch reading a book.

"Hey mom," Hope said and the woman set her book down and took off her reading glasses, looking at her daughter.

"Hey, honey how was school?"

"It was good, I had a chemistry test."

"And how'd that go?"

Hope set her bag down on the ground "uh I got a 90... listen mom there's kinda something I wanted to talk to you about."

"Oh?"

"Well- we" she grabbed Josie's arm and gently pulled her forward "want to talk to you about."

Hayley raised an eyebrow before nodding and crossing her legs "this sounds serious, sit" she gestured to the sofa.

Both girls made their way to the sofa and sat down. Hope looked at her mom "so... uh..."

"Honey, what's wrong?"

"Josie and I... are dating..." she said slowly and the two looked at Hayley's reaction. The woman just stared at the two before looking between them.

"Oh, I know."

"You know?" the teen says confused and looks to her girlfriend who looks just as confused.

"The walls aren't very thick honey, I heard you both"

"You heard us? oh... you heard us..." Hope said and Josie looked down with a blush.

"Yeah, I heard you..." the woman looked a bit traumatized "I'm thinking of soundproofing your room during spring break."

"Well sorry, Ms. Marshall... we uh just wanted you to know..." Josie said a blush still coating her cheeks.

"It's alright Josie, and please call me Hayley, Ms. Marshall makes me sound 60" the woman smiled and stood up "would you two like some Chinese food? I'm a bit hungry and want to order in."

Hope and Josie both looked at each other before nodding.

"Mom, is it okay if Josie spends the night?" Hope asked as she ate an eggroll.

"Sure honey," she said before looking at Josie "is your mother okay with that?"

"I'll go call her and ask," Josie said taking a bite of rice and standing up with her phone "excuse me" the brunette then walked out onto the back porch where she called her mom.

"Smells good in here" Hope and Hayley heard a voice and looked up to see Klaus walk into their house.

"What have I told you about just walking into my home Klaus" Hayley stood up and crossed her arms.

"You used my family's money to buy it" he shrugged "so I can do whatever I want love."

"No, I used the money I got in the divorce settlement which is now mine, so please leave," the woman said calmly.

"I've come to see my daughter."

Hope rolled her eyes and set down her chopsticks, her appetite was officially ruined "can you two not?? my girlfriend is here and I don't want her to see whatever this is."

"Girlfriend? who said you are allowed to date?" Klaus said and looked at Hayley "did you tell her she could date."

"She's nearly 18 Klaus she can date whoever she wants" the woman scoffed.

"My mom said I could stay-" Josie suddenly stopped when she walked in on the scene, both of Hope's parents were there and now looking at her and Hope looked a bit angry.

"You're dating Josette Parker? didn't you two have some sort of rivalry going on?" Klaus said and Hope rolled her eyes.

"That was in the past" the girl got up and I interlocked her hand with her girlfriend "we're going to my room."

"But I've come to see you," her father said.

"You saw me," Hope said before tugging Josie down the hall and into her room.

"What was that?" the brunette said as the shorter girl sat down on her bed and let out a sigh.

"My dad is an ass hole who is still trying g to force himself in my life when I made it clear I didn't want to see him."

Josie frowned before walking over to the girl and taking her face into her hands "I'm sorry baby" she said stroking the girl's cheek.

"Not your fault, but thanks for staying the night" Hope smiled up at her.

Josie smiled before pushing Hope back until she was laying down in the bed, the brunette crawled over the girl before getting under the girl's covers.

Hope pulled the covers over herself before turning to stare at Josie.

"Tonight may have ended badly but tomorrow is a new morning... a new beginning," Josie said and Hope leaned over and kissed her.

"Goodnight Josette" Hope whispered and wrapped her arms around the brunette and held her until they fell asleep.

About an hour later when Hayley opened Hope's door to apologize for Klaus showing up she saw the two girls cuddled up together sleeping.

Hayley smiled softly at the scene before gently closing the door.
