"Congratulations on your win yesterday!" Stefan said and the whole team erupted into claps and cheers.

Once the cheering died down Stefan looked around with a smile "because of that game you all have the honor to play some of the best teams in the states, we will be having an away game where you'll be going against different girls' soccer teams."

Maya raised her hand.

"By away game do you mean out-of-state or in state?"

"Good question, we will be traveling out of state! I have already rented us a bus that we will take there and back, and an anonymous donor has taken care of the hotel rooms for us" he said and everyone clapped.

"That being said we need some chaperones, the trip is next week, so ask your parents or guardians if any of them would be Interested."

"My mom might" Hope shrugged.

"I'll give her a call and ask about it" Stefan nodded to her "now I want two laps around the track," he said before blowing his whistle.

The girls let out a few complaints before getting up and jogging towards the track.

Josie and Hope jogged side by side. Things were still a little awkward between them since the incident at the auburnettes house.

She wouldn't even call it an incident. It was more of an accident that she wouldn't mind happening again.

Wait. No.

The brunette shook away the thoughts and focused on her jogging around the tracks. Her jogging quickly turned into running.

Hope raised an eyebrow before speeding up and running next to the brunette "something on your mind."

You.

"Nope, you?" she said looking over at the striker and raising an eyebrow.

"Nope."

Awkward silence.

"How have you been?" Hope asked.

"Good... Good..."

Awkward silence.

"Yeah... that's... good to be good" Hope nodded.

"Yeah..."

The two just continued to run in silence until they both finished their two laps. After they had finished they went to practice with their teammates where they chose to stay on opposite sides of the field.

When Hope made it home after practice the girl threw her soccer bag on the ground before removing her shoes and making her way to the kitchen.

The girl opened the fridge and grabbed a water bottle before turning and grabbing a banana out of the fruit bowl.

"Oh, you're home how was your day?" Hayley said walking into the kitchen all dressed up.

"It was good, passed my geometry test and practice was good," Hope said opening her banana and biting into it "why are you all dressed up."

"I have a date."

"Oh? and who might these gentlemen be?" she raised an eyebrow. Hayley just rolled her eyes at her daughter before checking a text on her phone.

"I don't want to introduce you, just in case it doesn't work out, but he's pretty amazing" the brunette smiled at her daughter and kissed her on the forehead. Hayley's face morphed into disgust.

"I love you sweetie with every fiber of my being and I mean nothing but love when I say this but... please take a shower."

Hope frowned at her mother "are you saying I stink."

"What... no.... okay maybe a little."

Hope playfully rolled her eyes "I'll go take a shower, and just in case you're gone by the time I'm out, have a wonderful time, you look beautiful" she smiled before making her way to the bathroom where she peeled off her uniform.
