Tw// character death... it's heavy so if you don't want to read it then please don't 🤍
It had been a week since her mom had died and Josie hasn't left her room other than to use the bathroom.
The brunette just stared at the wall as she heard a phone go off like crazy, she knew it was texts from her girlfriend but she didn't feel like speaking to anyone right now.
"Jo... I made you breakfast" Lizzie said coming into their shared room. The brunette just stayed silent and continued to look at the wall.
"Josie."
"I'm not hungry."
"Josie you haven't eaten in days you need to eat now sit up!" Lizzie said and when Josie just sat there the blonde grabbed her sister by the arm and forced her to sit up.
"No! stop."
"I lost her too Josie! just because we lost her doesn't mean you shouldn't take care of yourself! now eat!" the blonde said holding out a plate of eggs and grits.
"I don't want to eat Lizzie please just leave me alone."
"Josie... if I have to force this food down your throat then I will now eat."
As Josie was about to say something else her phone went off for the five hundredth time that week.
"Is she still texting?" Lizzie said picking up the girl's phone and seeing about a dozen text messages from the short girl.
"Yeah," the brunette said bringing her knees to her chest.
Lizzie shook her head before scrolling to Hope's contact and pressing call. Josie looked up at her.
"What are you doing?"
"Calling your girlfriend," she said as the phone started to ring.
"Hi! hello?" came Hope's urgent voice over the phone.
"Stop texting and stop calling."
There was a moment of pause "Lizzie? what why?"
The blonde closed her eyes and swallowed "Our mom died Hope... just... stop calling right now okay?" and with that, Lizzie hung up.
When she turned her head to look back at her twin she saw that Josie was back in her position from earlier. Lying down staring at the wall.
With a sigh, the blonde set the food on the dresser and walked out of the room.
"How's she doing?" their uncle kai said as he walked into the apartment.
Lizzie crossed her eyes and leaned against the counter "not good, she won't eat and all she does is lay in bed, I don't know what to do."
"Everyone grieves in different ways, this is how she's choosing to deal with it."
"Yeah I know, I just wish she would talk to me, like have a real conversation."
"Maybe we should get her some help."
"You are not sending my sister to one of those hospitals" Lizzie shook her head.
