Hope took a deep breath as she walked down the hall toward her father's office. She was honestly not ready to hear what he had to say.

His lectures could be pretty brutal, and the man hated when she didn't practice so she knew what was coming.

The girl raised her arm and knocked on the door lightly before backing up.

"Come in" she heard him say.

Hope pushed the door open and saw her father sitting at his desk reading some papers. Klaus took his glasses off and looked up at his daughter who walked into the room.

"Look has finally decided to grace us with her presence," he said in a stern tone.

Hope shrunk under her father's deadly gaze and slowly walked into the room. He gestured to the seat in front of his desk.

"Before you-" Hope started but was cut off by her dad.

Rude.

"Do you know how disappointed I am in you? you always fucking do this, you never listen" he said slamming his glasses onto his desk making Hope flinch a bit.

"Dad I know I'm sorry I-"

"Sorry? Oh, I don't think you're sorry at all I think you're the opposite of sorry, don't think I haven't noticed how you are barely there when you're at practice."

"What? I'm always at practice."

"Yeah you're there but your head is somewhere else it's like you don't even want to be there, then today you just ditched practice knowing your game is tomorrow!"

Hope just shook her head and focused her gaze on the various soccer balls her father had placed in a box on the floor of his office.

"What do you have to say for yourself?? you fucking brat."

Hope stood up and stared at her father with an angry look, the anger has been building for months and it was coming out "I don't even like soccer! I play it to make you happy so you aren't disappointed in me!" she threw her hands up in the air.

As Klaus was going to say something his daughter cut him off.

"It seems like no matter what I do you're always just going to be disappointed, I'm so sorry I missed a stupid fucking practice that I don't even need! you are projecting your fallen high school soccer career onto me, that is not what I want, this!" she glanced around "this is not what I want."

Klaus sat there staring at his only child who was staring back at him, breathing heavily after her rant.

"So goodbye dad, I'll see you at fucking practice," she said before storming out of the office and towards her dorm room.

When she got into her room she slammed the door and got into her bed, covering her face.

A moment later she heard the door to her room open "Jen if that's you I'm not in the mood can you go."
