"Jo... it's been two weeks... you don't have to be okay but we need to go to school... we're already so far behind and hey, maybe school will be a good distraction."

The brunette just shook her head and pulled the blanket over her shoulders.

"You have soccer you like soccer right? so get up Jo," Lizzie said putting a hand on her shoulder.

Josie shrugged her off and sat up "you just want me to get out of bed and go to school and pretend everything is fine? everything is not fine! fuck school and fuck soccer!"

Lizzie just stared at her sister before letting out a sigh, the blonde walked toward the door before stopping "okay well, if you change your mind let me know... I can get you a ride to school" and with that Lizzie walked out of the apartment leaving her sister in their room.

Hope honestly couldn't believe it when she heard the brunette's mother had died, she felt so dumb for blowing up the girl's phone but she thought it was something she did.

It had been almost two weeks since anyone has seen the Parker twins and Hope was honestly really worried but there wasn't anything she could do.

Lizzie had made it very clear she wanted Hope to give them space so she was going to respect that.

Hope was in the middle of opening her locker when she saw the front door of the school open followed by a bunch of chatter.

When she turned her head she saw Lizzie Parker walking into the school, her eyes visibly widened as she saw the girl.

It was no secret why the girl had been gone so long, a few days ago someone told me that the twins mother died.

Hope stopped trying to open her locker and turned to the blonde who she saw was now walking toward her.

"Mikaelson."

"L-Lizzie you're here."

"I need your help with something," the blonde said ignoring her question.

"Of course anything."

"I need you to go to my apartment and talk to Josie" Lizzie held out her keys to the auburnette.

"Except that."

"Please Hope I need you to talk to her she won't listen to me... and I don't know what else to do please do this for her."

Hope stood there for a moment before taking the keys into her hand.

Lizzie gave her an appreciative smile and the auburnette walked out of the school ignoring the calls of the dean that was telling her to get back in the school.

When Hope walked up the steps and to Josie's apartment she felt her phone vibrate and looked down to see her mom calling.

The school probably called her, she'll explain everything to her later.

Hope pressed decline before taking out the keys and unlocking the apartment, when she walked in she noticed the hospital bed that was once in the living room was already gone, in its place was a few boxes that said Mom on them.

The auburnettes closed the door and walked to her girlfriend's room.

Hope gently pushed the room door open, it creaking in the process.

She saw Josie shift slightly from her spot on the bed "Lizzie I told you I'm not going so... stop trying to force me."

"It's not Lizzie," she said and saw the brunette visibly freeze.

"Go away."

"No."

"What?" Josie said and turned toward her "I said leave I don't want you in my house."

"No."

"Hope."

"No, I'm not going to let you shut me out Josie," Hope said and walked closer to the bed until she was standing right beside it.

"Hope, leave now!"

"I'm not leaving you Josie I'm not doing to do it."

"Please just..."

"Just talk to me Jo... please..." Hope said getting on her knees and taking the girl's hands into hers "everyone is worried about you..."

"I'm worried about you."

Josie's watery eyes looked to hers "she's gone Hope..." the brunette said, tears starting to roll down her cheeks "she's gone..."

Hope felt her own eyes start to water "I know... I know and I'm so sorry that happened, you didn't deserve any of this."

"I just want her back... I want my mom back" Josie sobbed.

The auburnette wrapped her arms around the girl and seconds later she felt Josie wrap her arms around her waist and cry into her shoulder.

"I have no one... s-she's gone... I-I..."

Hope pulled back and held the girl's face in her hands "you are not alone Josie. You have me and you will always have me okay? I promise."

"You can't promise that" she shook her head.

"But I can, because I know I will always be by your side and here for you for as long as you will have me."

Josie gave her a small smile and kissed the girl before pulling back.

"I just don't know what to do without her... I feel lost Hope... what do I do?"

"Well, we can start with getting you in the shower."

"Are you saying I stink?"

"Yes, you stink badly" Hope chuckled and Josie hit her shoulder.

"I say that with nothing but love, but you seriously need to shower that will be a good start to your healing journey."

"I don't know if I'm ready to heal."

"And that's completely okay but your sister needs you okay? I need you, so getting up, showering, and maybe even eating is a good start okay?"

Josie nodded and Hope held the girl out of bed.

The brunette made her way to the bathroom and looked at herself, her eyes scanning over her appearance.

She did not look like her normal self, she had bags under her eyes, and her hair was all over the place.

Hope leaned in the doorway as she looked at the girl.

"God I look awful."

"You're still beautiful" she commented and Josie turned toward her and gave her a barely there smile.

"I'm going to see what you have in the kitchen and make something for you to eat and I'll bring you some clothes to change into okay?"

Josie nodded and looked back at herself in the mirror.
