When Josie walked into school she had a pep in her step. Today was her first day back on the team. The girl had finished her physical therapy and she was one hundred percent cleared to play, she was ecstatic.
When she walked into the locker room everyone greeted her and welcomed her back. Jade was keeping her distance after the brunette had yelled at her which she was thankful for, she honestly didn't need any more drama.
"Welcome back Jo," Maya said giving her a bug before pulling back and going to her locker that was right by the girls.
"Thanks, Maya" she smiled before taking out her soccer uniform and stripping down. Maya looked over at her.
"You came back at the perfect time, we have a new player, so you both can get introduced back into the game."
"New player? I didn't know the coach still let people on the team, the season already started" she said putting on her jersey.
"He usually doesn't but he made an exception for this one, apparently she's really good" the curly-haired girl shrugged.
Once the team had gotten ready they made their way out to the field where their coach still wasn't at. The team started doing their stretches.
"Hello, new team" they heard a voice say and Josie froze, looking over to see Hope standing there with a smile on her face as she stared directly at her.
"Oh hell no" Jade stood up.
"Language Montgomery" Stefan scolded before turning to the team "everyone this is Hope Mikaelson she will be joining our team for the remainder of the season, and I want you all to welcome her okay?" he said looking around at them.
The girls mumbled out a yes while Josie just stared at Hope. Did the girl just join her team? no, she must be dreaming.
The brunette pinched her leg. Nope, she wasn't dreaming.
"You can take a seat right Ms.Mikaelson" their coach gestured to the grass the team was sitting on.
Hope smiled before taking a seat in front of Josie. Once the coach noticed everyone was seated he looked around.
"Okay so we are only having morning practice since I have somewhere to be later, I want you all to practice your kicking and passing today, and do a few laps around the track okay?"
The girls nodded.
"And Josie you can take it easy if you need, I know you're just coming back from an injury," he said and the girl nodded.
When the coach blew his whistle everyone got up and walked toward the cloth bag that held the soccer balls.
As Hope made a move to follow them she was pulled back by an arm. She looked over and saw Josie looking at her. The shorter girl grinned.
"Why hello there" she smiled.
"Why didn't you tell me you joined mystic falls?" the girl raised her eyebrow "I thought you hated our team.
