Takashi pov

After I heard the bodies fall my voice hitched please don't be Khion, please don't be my dad I thought to myself over And over again

Then I hear Khions voice "Mr.t? T? Y'all good? Where y'all at?"

"I'm right here, turn on the flash on you phone" I say to him as I turned my flash on
As soon as I do I see how much blood is everywhere
It's was some disturbing ass shit yo

I turn my phone and see Khion with his flash on
Then I see Carlos's goons lifeless on the ground

Then my heart drops

I see my dad laying their with blood coming out of his thigh unconscious
I quickly run over to him and checked his pulse

He was still alive

Then I checked his wound and saw that it was just a graze damn nigga thought he fucking died

Khion comes running over
"What the fuck happened" he yells looking Down at dad
"Grazed" I say
"Oh" he responds getting on the floor next to me

"So what we gon do?" He asks motioning to my dad

"Let's get him to the car, u starts driving down to the airport like he said and I'll stitch him up hopefully he wakes up in time so he can tell us where the fuck exactly in Chicago we're going" I say picking my dads arm up putting it over my shoulder
Khion gets his other arm
"Yo" I hear from behind us

I quickly turn around grabbing at my gun
Then I see that it's Ricky

"Sorry bout all that shit those two got a love hate relationship since we was youngins" he said shaking his head laughing

"So what was up with them" Khion asks the same question that was going through my head

"It's a long ass story" he says scratching the back of his head "It's a whole bunch of shit to be honest"
Me and and Khion start walking my dad to the car as Ricky continues
"So we all met when we was sophomores in high school. Me, Carlos,tarin, javon, Lexi" which was Khion parents "..and yo momma" he said looking at me "we was a tight ass friend group nothing could shake us for real. Javon and Lexi getting together, tarin and Trina getting together. until Trina and Lexi got pregnant "
We finally made it to the car and I get in, getting the equipment i need from out of the front
"Everyone was tryna support them except Carlos, so I knew something was up" he continued

"So one night I called him over to my place so I could see what was good with him. We got high and that's when he started spilling everything.
He told me how him and tarin got together one night when they got high and they been together every since, and how it hurt him to see tarin with VicTrina, he knew tarin loved him but he didn't wanna do nothing drastic"
My heart stopped

And he was telling me all that shit and how it was dangerous

Ricky continued "after he told me that I decided to keep their secret, and you know it was the 90's so people wasn't really cool with the gay shit, but then we all got into the game... shit got serious we started turning on each other. Yo dad and javon got New York they was inseparable, I got Vermont, Carlos got Philly, and yo momma... got jersey she was one of the only and the biggest female kingpins in the world, and she did it all by herself without the help of tarin"

And as soon as he said that it all clicked on why jersey was so important to them

"Lexi didn't support what we was doing she was the only one that stayed out of the game, especially when she got pregnant with you"
He says pointing at Khion "she wanted all of us to drop it and live a normal life but we ain't listen. I wish we did. Her and Trina were the bestest of friends, so when Lexi and javon died in that car crash it was hard on her, it was hard on all of us. She wanted to leave the game and continue her best friend's legacy And have an actual life and family"
