28. Evacuate

(Drake POV)

It's been a week since we started our training. I can say that we all improved a lot now. We can avenge Michael and Roger's death. We will surely hunt those monsters down!

I roam my eyes inside this room that full of weapons. I pick a gun and try to aim this at Nikko.

"You ready?" He asked and I nodded. I waited for this day patiently to come and now is the time.

I look at them one by one and nodded as if I'm telling them to get moving. I started to walk while carrying my gun until we reach the car.

Nikko is the one who drives and our destination is where that accident happened.

We reached our destination and we walk outside the car. There's some houses in here surrounded by trees. The place is too silent that only our footsteps can heard in this place. We slowly walk and roam the place.

I signal them to search every houses if there's a monsters or perhaps that giant skeleton but hours passed we found nothing.

Joshua walked in front of me and said "there's no one here. The place is clear" I agreed on what he said, I already noticed the clear atmosphere earlier. Even in the road, it seems like all of them are gone. What happened?

"It seems like they're all gone. Is it over?" Autumn asked but no one answered her question. We don't have any idea too.

"Let's continue on searching near in this place." I said and decided to get in the car.

Hours had passed and still we found nothing. We already searched division 5, 6, 7,8 and 9 and the places are all clear. I'm starting to get annoyed by this.

"Maybe the wanted successfully clear this area?" Rica said. I have a hunch too that they are behind this, until we reach Division 10 and saw the forest. Some trees are cut, some are laying on the ground. There's some hole on the ground too and the skeleton parts are everywhere.

"Those assassins really got it first. They already killed our target" Nikko said while looking around the place.

Shadow and the rest, how they can manage to kill the giant monster? I asked myself. We are just strong as them and yet we failed to kill.

I get my phone in my pocket and look for the caller. It was the mayor so I accept the call immediately.

"You need to get back as soon as possible. We need to evacuate" After I heard it, it maid me lour. What's happening?

"Guys, we need to get back." I said and after that we get inside the car and leave the place.

(Shadow POV)

Naniningkit ang aking mga mata na nakatingin kay Dunkan habang ito ay nagtatakang nakatingin sa mga screen ng kanyang computers. Dahil sa may pagkamarites ako ay nilapitan ko ito at kinalabit sa balikat.

"Anyare?"

"Tignan mo lahat ng sakop ng CCTV, nakakapagtakang walang mga halimaw ang nagkalat sa paligid."

Tinignan kong mabuti ang bawat screen, oo nga! Wala ni isang halimaw ang nakikitang naglalakad sa paligid.

"Baka naman umalis na sila?" Tanong ko sa kanya.

Nagkibit balikat lamang siya at tinuon muli ang paningin sa mga screen.

Maya-maya pa ay pareho kaming napatingin sa pinto dahil sa pagbukas nito. Isa ito sa mga assassin na nagtetraining dito.

"Uhmm, Sh..shadow, pina.patawag po kayo sa office" napataas ang kilay ko dahil napapansin ko ang pagkailang dito dahilan para magkautal utal ito.

"Dunkan, alis na ako." Paalam ko kay insan saka lumabas na din ng silid niya.

Ano nanaman kaya ang kailangan ni Ms. Samantha? Hmmm. Pagdating ko doon ay ako nalang pala ang hinihintay. Well ganoon talaga, laging late ang mga magaganda.

Tumayo si Ms. Samantha at tinignan kami nang seryoso kaya naman ay napatayo ako nang maayos.

"Ihanda niyo ang lahat, we need to evacuate as soon as possible." Muli napataas ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya.

"Why? Mukhang baglaho na din naman ang mga halimaw. Katatapos lang namin maglibot ni Hanzo at kahit isa ay wala kaming nakita, maging ang Bloodlust." Kage said.

"It's an order from the President. They will use their forces to clear Hallow City as well as the other city." Ms. Samantha answered Kage. "Susunduin tayo sa Port sa division 10, get ready" dugtong pa nito.

"So the President already made a move. Too late but still it helps a lot" Trisha said.

"What do you think? Kris, Shadow, and Sniper?" Ms. Samantha asked the three of us.

Tinanguan ko si Kris na siya na ang bahala, same as Sniper.

"We will talk first before we move, if you'll excuse us" Kris answered Ms. Samantha na tinanguan lang nito.

Lahat kami ay lumabas sa office at dumeretso sa meeting place namin. Umupo ako sa upuan at dumampot ng chocolate sa isang chocolate jar. Pinasadya ko talaga yan dito at walang sinuman ang ang nakuha jan.

"What now?" Sabi ko sa gitna nang aking pagnguya kaya lahat sila ay nakatingin sa akin na para bang nandidiri. "What?"

"Disgusting Shadow! Your teeth is full of chocolates" nginitian ko lamang ng matamis si Sniper.

"We will separate and make it to two groups. Kage and Hanzo as well as Dunkan and Luna will guide Ms. Samantha and the other assassins." Paunang sabi ni Kris ngunit sumabat agad si Kage.

"And how about you five? Don't tell me."

"Yes, we will be the second group. May mga kailangan pa kaming gawin, but don't worry susunod kami." Pagputol ni Kris kay Kage. Nagtaka ako sa sinabi niya, anong kailangang gawin?

Mukhang nagets naman ng dalawa kaya tumango sila at nauna nang lumabas sa silid.

"What do you mean?" Sniper ask. So wala din siyang idea?

"Wala bang nabanggit sa inyo ang mga spirit niyo? Hylos told me to stay. He said that there will be a waves of monster coming" napalunok ako nang laway sa sinabi niya. Seryoso?

(3rd Person POV)

Sa isang lugar kung saan and matataas na puno at mga damo ay lanta, walang buhay ang paligid. Sa gitna nang lugar ay matatagpuan ang isang malawak na taniman ngunit ang mga pananim ay nasira at nalanta sa di malamang dahilan.

Nakalutang sa gitna nang lugar and isang maitim na usok. Wala itong hugis at mapapansin lamang ay ang dalawang nagkikinang na pulang mga mata. Nakapalibot sa kanyang paligid ang hindi mabilang na mga halimaw. May anyong tao, hayop at ilan ay mga higanteng halimaw. Ang lahat ay nakayuko sa kanyang harapan.

"Nararamdaman ko ang kanilang kakarampot na enerhiya sa lugar na ito. Aking mga alagad, maghanda! Lilibutin natin ang buong lugar na ito hanggang sa makita natin ang ating pakay sa lugar na ito!" Nakakatindig balahibong sabi nang itim na usok.

Ang lahat ng mga nakapalibot sa kanya ay humiyaw at tinaas ang kanilang mga kamay.

"Hindi habang buhay ay makakatago kayo sa akin. Nalalapit na ang inyong katapusan at ang tuluyang pag-angkin ko sa inyong mundo, at kapag nangyari iyon, babalikan ko ang mundong ito at aking sasakupin! Hahahahaha! Hahahahaha!"
