-one day later-
you were in the woods -yet again- guarding with everyone else. levi was beating a man with a mustache, trying to get him to talk. sasha came closer to you, and pointed at the distance;
"someone's coming from that way!!" she said, loud enough for everyone to hear.
you got down -in an attempt to hide in the grass- while pointing your riffle towards the darkness. you squinted your eyes when the figures came closer, and you instantly recognized the person on front.
"it's hange" you said, voice calm and steady.
you all lowered your riffles, once the features of the three people were more noticeable. hange was accompanied by hitch and marlowe, the two members of the military police you had captured and made your allies, some hours ago.
hange informed everyone about the situation, making the people around you exclaim in relief and happiness. sasha wrapped her arms around your body and hugged you- making you able to see the tears pooling in the corners of her eyes. you wrapped one arm around the girl and smiled softly, while your other hand was on armin's shoulder.
after everyone's voices died down, hange showed the letter they had with them. a letter that had a possible location for eren and historia. they also told you about their speculations;
"eren's going to be eaten?" you asked, your eyes wide.
"that's only a speculation based on- what happened to your cheek?" hange stopped mid-sentence, once they got a good look at it.
"that's my doing" levi said, making them turn their head towards him- eyes wide and full of confusion.
"and y/n, what did i say about bringing personal feelings in?"
"sir, that's not personal feelings. it's- this doesn't make sense! why is eren going to be-"
"he held an injection in his hands and he told me that it would cause damage to my memory...."
'even if it's only a speculation and nothing's certain for now, then that means that eren's titan powers didn't come from the injection'
'then that injection-'
"y/n?" hange's voice stopped you from thinking this further.
"i'm sorry! thinking about it, it actually makes sense" you said, as they slowly nodded their heads.
they didn't explain their speculation any further, so time wouldn't go to waste. while everyone else was preparing the wagon and the horses, you and jean were guarding. you let your thoughts go back to the topic they were before, as you focused your ears on the sounds around you.
