you were gripping hange's shirt, while you cried, before a small gasp left mikasa's lips. she shook you slightly and you turned your head to look at her, your eyes red and puffy.
"y/n, look!"
you looked at the direction she was pointing at, your eyes widening at the sight of levi giving the injection to armin. the boy soon turned into a titan, and approached bertholdt. hange let go of you and went to the roof levi, floch and erwin were at.
you watched as armin grabbed bertholdt and put him in his mouth, while the brunet boy screamed for help- his friends names, too. you held onto eren, watching the scene before you.
once armin fell on the ground, you all rushed towards him. he broke free of the titan's skin and you helped him out, as tears swam down your cheeks.
the five of you carried sasha and armin on top of the wall and laid their unconscious bodies on mattresses. you checked the girl's temperature and wounds, before you got up.
"y/n, your back is bleeding again!" mikasa said, rushing to your side.
she didn't even give you time to answer, as she started changing the bandages, that were wrapped around your back.
"ow!" you exclaimed when she knotted it too tight.
"sorry"
"are we really the only ones left in the survey corps...?" jean asked.
"what? what about squad hange? and the recruits?" eren asked.
"they're dead" mikasa said.
"the recruits were killed from the beast titan and the others died from the explosion. only hange and floch survived" she added.
eren looked down, a look of sadness on his face.
"thank you... for saving me back then" you said, looking at him.
"it was the least i could do"
you felt tears attacking your eyes, as you recalled the memory of some time ago. you shielded your eyes with your arms, as you sniffled. you felt two arms wrap around your body, as they held you tightly.
"i was so scared... i thought i was gonna die..." you said, your voice cracking as you cried.
mikasa looked at you from the side, her eyes watering. she walked towards you and eren and wrapped her arms around both of you. she kissed the top of your head, her tears falling on your hair.
the three of you stayed like this, before you motioned the two boys to come, too. the five of you were crying -all for different reasons- while you had your arms around each other.
