you were at the top of the wall with pixis, while eren was explaining what he remembered.
"i see... so you believe that basement room will give you all the answers...?" he asked, his back facing the four of you.
"yes! can you believe me, sir?"
"even you yourself don't have convincing proof, so i think i'll just keep it filled away in my head for now" pixis answered, pointing at his head.
"still... i expect i'll be able to get to the bottom of it, by and by"
"til then, i'll personally guarantee your safety" he added, smiling at you.
he stayed silent for a moment, before he looked at armin.
"trainee armin, is it?"
"yes sir!" armin said, saluting him.
"earlier, you mentioned that if we use the "titan's power" or what-have-you, it would be possible to recapture this town, trost district..."
"do you really believe that? or were you just desperate to stay alive?" he continued, looking at armin.
"it was... both, sir!"
"what i tried to say then is that eren could turn into a titan, carry that boulder over to the destroyed gate, and plug it up" armin explained.
"it's just a thought that occurred to me... but i was hoping the captain would at least sense the possibility that the power eren possesses could help get us out of our current predicament!"
"of course, i was also desperate to save our own lives..." armin added, truthfully.
pixis didn't say anything. he just knelt down in front of eren until he was reaching his eye level.
"trainee eren... can you plug up that hole?"
eren stayed silent for a moment before he talked;
"i'll seal it off, sir! no matter what!"
the three of you stared at eren with your eyes wide. pixis got up and placed his hands on eren's shoulders.
"well said! you're a real man!"
pixis wasted no time and called for his council, ready to work out the strategy. you didn't know that he would believe eren instantly, or even get the operation started immediately• but here you were now, surrounded by his council.
"you're going to be heroes, young soldiers..." he said, smiling at you.
pixis left with eren, as they walked towards the middle of the wall. you were left behind with mikasa, armin and the people from the council. yet, you couldn't bring yourself to focus on the plan armin was suggesting, and instead you focused on eren's figure in the distance and the plan pixis was proposing to the people in town.
