the titan that stood taller than the wall, had the four of you frozen in your places. people were screaming and running away, yet you couldn't move. you were stuck there, watching as the titan started moving.
the loud sound of the wall breaking and the pieces that started falling from the sky, made you shield your ears with your hands.
the sound of the people's screams for help and the screams they let out before they got crushed, were muffled as you pushed your palms harder against your ears.
you held onto eren's jacket sleeve, while you stared at the wall• the titan nowhere to be seen.
"i-it made a hole in the wall..." armin said, scared.
people started running, trying to get as far away from the wall as possible.
"the three of you, run! we have to get out of here before the titans get in!" armin said, as he turned to look at you.
your eyes were locked on eren's figure, who ran towards the opposite direction. you instantly knew why, so you started running behind him.
"eren?! y/n?!" armin said, scared.
"those pieces of the wall fell near the houses! mom's at home!" eren said, as he took your hand in his and continued running.
mikasa's eyes widened as she left armin and came running behind you. you held her hand, not wanting to lose her in the crowd of panicked people.
your feet were hurting from how fast you were running and from how jagged the ground was from the damage the flying rocks did. eren held on your hand for dear life, as you did with mikasa's.
once you rounded the corner near the house, you gasped. eren screaming for his mom, broke your heart. you ran towards the destroyed house, your eyes falling on the half upper body of the older woman.
"mom...?" you heard eren's shaky voice, while you stared at her.
you started removing broken pieces of wood, so you could see her better.
"...eren, is that you?"
"y/n, mikasa, hold that! we're gonna move this pillar!" eren said, as you and mikasa tried to get a hold of it.
"let's go! one, two... three!"
once he said the last number, you all tried to move the pillar, but to no avail. your bodies were far too weak to move the heavy piece of wood. the cut on your hand reopened from the way you were desperately trying to help the others, and new cuts appeared on your fingers.
