you went to where jean and mikasa were, meeting floch and the other yeagerists.
"what's going on here?" you asked, once you noticed the body of a dead man.
jean looked at you, before he focused back on the red-head in front of him.
"i speak on eren's behalf. if eren is solving all the problems beyond the island... then i'll wipe away any resentment left within it" floch said.
"anyway. we survived that hell four years ago... and now we finally have this. do you understand? this is freedom!! you don't need to fight anymore. you can live as you please"
"jean. you wanted to become an mp and live the good life in the interior, right? then do that. you're one of our heroes..." he said, placing his hand on jean's shoulder.
"it's... over?" jean asked, looking at him.
"it's over. so go back to being the old jean. that annoying, irresponsible, conceited bastard" floch replied.
"what'd you just call me?"
"floch. captain levi and commander hange... what happened to them?" mikasa asked.
"i'm sorry but zeke killed them" he answered, before he left.
you looked at the two people next to you, eyes wide and lips parted.
"it can't be true... captain and hange... can't be dead..." you said, voice just above a whisper.
"i don't believe anything that leaves his mouth" mikasa said.
"what's over? everyone's dying!" she added, running a hand through her black locks.
"y/n... where's armin?" jean asked, looking at you.
"i sent him to bring back connie and the boy. that girl, too"
"the girl who shot sasha and eren?!" he asked, surprised.
"yeah... i found her with niccolo and sasha's family. she begged us to give her back the boy and she informed us about reiner's situation"
"reiner?" mikasa questioned.
"apparently, when the walls fell, the armor of his titan came undone... if all the hardening came undone, then annie is free, too" you explained.
their eyes widened as they stared at you.
"but, y/n... what about connie and his mother?"
"mikasa... i want him to bring her back to a human but, com'on... that boy... is still a child..."
"plus, connie didn't seem to think this through, but if he feeds the boy to his mother... she'll inherit one of the nine titans..."
