Holly got out of the shower, and did her daily skincare routine before blowdrying her hair. Toby remained seated on the couch as he binge watched some of those country music videos he liked. Holly decided she wasn't going to wear a shit ton of makeup, however, she did want to at least put on some mascara and lip gloss.

When she finished, Holly walked back into the lounge room, flashing her outfit and makeup look to Toby. His eyes locked in on the cowboy hat that rest atop her head. "You're actually going to wear that?" He asked accusatorially. Holly flashed him a look, feigning an offended reaction. "Yes, and there's nothing you can do to stop me!" She enthused, dancing along to the music he was playing. "It's a little ill fitting don't you think?" Holly smiled. "It's not my fault your head is fucking massive!" She retorted, rolling her eyes. Toby scoffed before turning his attention back on the TV. "Are you actually going to wear that?" Holly taunted, gesturing towards his mediocrely styled outfit. Toby's eyes widened in offence. "And what's wrong with my outfit?" He pressed. "I just think for a country boy, you're serving very much city boy realness. It's honestly not giving." Toby fell silent. "In english you fucking martian!"

Holly scoffed. "Basically what I'm saying is you look like one of those dumbass, latte sipping city boys." Toby squinted at her insinuation. "Well, to use your wording and vocabulary, you're serving very much sweet home alabama redneck realness." He scoffed as he crossed his arms, producing a smug expression. Holly stood still, covering her mouth as she attempted to stifle a laugh, failing miserably. "Period! I really said another day another slay!!" Toby grimaced, his eyes narrowing. Holly shot him half clenched smile as she tilted her head to the side slightly. "Aw, something wrong bitchboy?" Holly badgered, making a pouty face. The brunette boy did not respond well. "Oh just shut the fuck up and get ready, we have to leave soon." He spoke soberly.

~time skip to the rodeo~

Toby exited the driver's seat of his mud stained, white toyota HiLux, and walked over to the passenger side door and opening it, helping Holly out. Holly bowed her head slightly, thanking him as her light brown combat boot heels stepped onto the gravel beneath her. The tiny rocks crunched beneath their shoes as they made their way to the front of the crowd. Holly placed her hands on the rails, looking out into the arena as Toby stood behind her, placing his hands on the rails too. It was sort of a protective thing. He didn't want Holly getting hurt. He was kind of like her scary dog privilege.

As the rodeo commenced, the rider came out on the bull. He sort of looked like one of those blow up figures you see at car dealerships. The crowd cheered on as the rider flopped around and flailed himself about.

Every now and then, Toby would look down at her, smiling contently to himself. At times, he'd noticed that Holly's cowboy hat seemed a bit disoriented due to all the movement, so he'd readjust it for her.

Not even 30 minutes in, the first rider had fallen off the bull and his leg quite literally snapped. The injury was so severe, that you could actually see the bone. The crowd roared, there was a mix of excited and worried reactions to the sudden incident. Toby seemed excited about it, he always found that sort of thing to be cool and fascinating . Holly turned around, a disapproving look on her face. "What?" He defended, looking to Holly with a confused look. "Don't laugh at the poor man! It's mean, and he's clearly in a lot of pain!" Toby's laugh died down, however his playful expression remained. "He'll be fine, Holly! It could've been a lot worse." Holly was still not impressed. She turned to face Toby. "I'd like to see you go out there and have that happen to you. You'd be pissing yourself before you even mounted the damn thing!" Holly antagonised, tapping her foot as she crossed her arms. Toby pointed to the man, who now had paramedics by his side. "See? They're going to take good care of him. If you are really that into him, why don't you go and sit in the back of the ambo on the way to the hospital? Holly rolled her eyes as Toby grinned to himself, proud of his insinuation.

"Let's just watch one more round and then we'll go somewhere else, okay?" Toby suggested. "Fine! But I get to choose where we go." She insisted, her foot tapping loudly on the ground. Toby sighed, reluctantly agreeing. Holly turned back around, and watch on in fear as she watched the second ride approach the arena. When things got intense, she'd jump back into Toby, craving his comfort. They both sort of enjoyed it.
