Holly's POV:
It had been around 4 or 5 months since she had properly talked to the boys, and Ryan was driving her home after an argument they had. in the spare time she had after she stopped hanging out with Henry and Toby, she and Ryan had developed a romantic relationship. At first he was loving. He asked her if she'd eaten that day, and he'd just generally do the most romantic things for her, but now that he was more comfortable, he changed. He was a different person to her.
On her way home, she lay her head on the car window and thought back to when she considered Henry and Toby her best friends. She always felt safe and protected around them. She knew that if she ever needed anything, she could go to them for advice. They were really good guys. But, her scummy little boyfriend refused to let her see them anymore.
She remembered the nights she spent with both of the boys. They had been so many of her firsts. They were her first guy best friends, her first opposite sex sleepovers. Toby had even been one of her other 'first times'.
Continuing her rabbit hole, she thought back to the first day she'd met those boys. She remembered the way Henry smiled at her when she helped him with his hass work, and she remembered the satiric exchange she'd had with Toby during PE. She even remembered how they took care of her the night of the school sleep out when she'd gotten hurt.
After a while of thinking, she was snapped back to reality by her now boyfriend, Ryan. "Get your fucking head off my windows, I don't need you dirtying them for fucks sake." He said hostilely. Holly immediately lifted her head up, trying to keep herself from crying. She couldn't believe how she'd let it come to this. She let go of the only 2 boys who truly cared about her for an abusive, drug using lowlife who barely showed her any human decency.
Toby's POV:
At this moment in time, Toby was also in a relationship. It was quite a cliche trope really. He'd been put in the same group as Bella for an english assignment, and the two of them clicked. They spoke for a while, but he always had hopes that Holly would come back, however, when he learned of Holly's blissful new relationship with Ryan, he sort of realised there was no point in waiting. So naturally, he moved on.
Toby and Bella hung out with Henry at recess. Although, Toby kind of sensed that Henry had a certain dislike for his new woman. He always said things like: "I don't understand how you can just replace Holly's place in the group with some chick from english." and "You can't just pretend she never existed." Toby hated when Henry told him things like that. Of course he wasn't trying to pretend like Holly didn't exist, and he sure wasn't trying to replace her with Bella, either. Nobody could ever replace Holly.
He saw Holly in passing at school quite often, but after their classes had a seating plan change, he saw her less and less. He wanted to have Holly back in his life, but he didn't want to interrupt her happiness. He wasn''t selfish enough to intrude on someone's life just because he missed them.
Even though Henry doubted his feelings of loss, Toby most definitely felt them. He stopped watching farmer Wants A Wife, and the thought of going back to his station dreaded him.
Henry's POV:
Just like the others, Henry was trying to move on with his life. However, instead of getting a girlfriend, he plunged himself into his studies. Particularly agriculture. He would never admit it to anyone, but him losing Holly hit him harder than he thought it would. Holly was his first kiss. Holly was the first girl he'd ever really liked, so it was kind of hard to just pretend like she'd never existed, unlike Toby.
Henry hung out with Bella and Toby, but he never really joined in on their conversations much, he just sort of sat there doing his own thing. Henry didn't particularly like Bella either. He'd heard whispers of things she'd said about Holly in the past, so he had a pretty coloured opinion of her.
In all honesty, it really hurt him when Henry found out about Ryan and Holly. He thought that they would at least stay friends, but when he noticed the distance between them, he figured he'd just seen her differently than how she was seeing him. Henry would even talk to Tianah every now and then to see how Holly was, but Tianah said that Holly had stopped talking to her too.
General POV:
The now separated trio had no idea how miserable each other were, which meant their communication skills were worsening by the day. At this point though, it seemed as if Holly barely even had communication skills at all. Her controlling boyfriend forced her to defy her moral values and got her into marijuana and alcohol. The boys were under the impression she didn't want to talk to them, so they had no idea she even needed to be saved.
