It was now the Monday after the ball, and it was the first day Henry, Holly and Toby were spending at school as a trio again.

Holly rushed herself out of bed, and ran into her bathroom. She completed her in shower routine, quickly yet thoroughly before stepping out and started prepping herself for school. She took a hair dryer and a straightener to her long, blonde hair before slipping into her school uniform. Holly wanted to look really nice today. To others it was just a normal day at school, but for Holly, this was the first time she'd be at school with the boys by her side again.

She then started on her makeup. Usually when Holly did her makeup, it was very light coverage. Today, however, was a little different. She decided to go for medium coverage, but still keep a natural look.

Around 30 minutes or so later, Holly had finished her makeup. While she was waiting for her father to get ready to leave, she chose to scroll through her socials. Not long after that, Holly heard her name being called from downstairs, so she tucked her phone in her pocket and went down to the first floor. She was greeted by her father, who had a very wide smile on his face. He stayed silent, however when he shifted himself from his daughter's direct view, Holly gasped.

"Henry?!" Holly gasped, looking at him with disbelief. Henry was sat on their couch, a phone in his hand. When he heard her voice, his attention shifted from it to her. He looked up at her. "Hey." He greeted casually, locking his phone and slipping it into his bag. "I thought we were going to meet up at school!" Holly fussed. Even when they were friends, Henry rarely did things like that.

"I know, but I figured it would be nice if I drove you to school." He said with a smile. Holly started to blush. "That is literally so sweet oh my gosh!" She exclaimed, looking to her father with excitement. "Is that okay with you, Dad?" Almost immediately, her father gave her an approving nod.

Henry stood up, walking over to Holly. Her father bid farewell to the kids before walking back into his room. As he did that, Henry inconspicuously placed his hand on Holly's lower back, and started to guide her to the front door. She felt a shiver down her spine. It had been so long since he had done that, and of course it was through no fault of his own.

The blonde duo exited Henry's car and walked side by side into the school where they were welcomed by Toby. He had a look of anticipation in his eyes, almost as of he had been counting down the minutes. "Hey!" Toby yelled, pulling Holly into a tight hug. He never really showed pda in public with her before, but he couldn't help it. Holly didn't object to the sudden embrace either.

The first siren sounded, and the trio made their way to class. "Also, I spoke to Mrs Vause, and she agreed to let us sit together in all our classes!" Toby boasted, looking at his two friends with exhilaration. Henry and Holly shared their gratefulness and excitement with him. "It's so nice to have you back, Holly." Toby said, looking at Holly. "I'm so glad you feel that way. I missed you, a lot."

Unfortunately for the trio, only Henry and Holly had first period together. Toby walked the pair to their class and then returned to his own.

Henry and Holly walked into class together. As people looked on at the now reunited duo, their faces froze. "Didn't they have a falling out?" One voice murmured. "I swear they haven't spoken in like months! How are they suddenly just like besties again?" Another student gossiped. Holly looked up to Henry with worry in her eyes. He noticed this and lowered his head within her earshot before speaking quietly. "Hey, don't worry about them. Let them say what they want."

Holly found that oddly reassuring, though it was still a hard feeling to shake. She still felt as if she had abandoned those boys, so hearing people's shocked reactions to their sudden reunion hurt. They made their way to their seats and grabbed out the things they needed.

They went about the lesson speaking to nobody but each other. However, this didn't stop anyone from staring at them. One of the eshays kept staring at the pair, and Henry could tell it was making Holly anxious, so to calm her down, he reached underneath the table and intertwined his hand with hers as he stroked the top of her thumb.

Holly looked down at the desk for a second before looking up at Henry. He shot her a comforting look before their moment was interrupted by the sound of a door opening. The two of them looked to see who it was, and when they saw his face, Holly's heart sunk. It was Ryan.
