Ryan arrived at Holly's house, and his reaction to her dress was disgusting at best. "See? I told you that you didn't have the body to be able to look good in a dress like that. I mean look at this!" He spoke, pointing to the meshy like parts in the bodice. "You can see your fucking skin."

"It's supposed to be like that." She corrected politely. However, Ryan didn't see it that way. "Don't you take that fucking tone with me, bitch." He hissed, raising his hand as a way of threatening her. Holly flinched, but Ryan's abusive demeanour changed as soon as Holly's father walked into the room. He grabbed his phone out, ready to take a picture, but both of the teens protested. Holly didn't want to look back in twenty years and be reminded of this day, so she figured if she had no photos, tonight would be easier to forget.

Ryan's reasoning for not wanting a photo was obvious. He felt Holly would bring down the general quality of the photo. Holly's father eventually put the phone away, and walked over to Holly, hugging her tightly. "You look so beautiful tonight, champion." He whispered, sniffling once or twice. The two departed from each other's embrace, and smiled at each other. "Thank you, dad. It really means a lot."

Her father shared a few memories from when Holly was a little girl, and he became quite emotional. He took a moment to regain his composure before saying farewell to his daughter and her date. They weren't going in a fancy limo or anything like that, Ryan refused to pay for anything like that. He expected Holly to handle all the expenses, and she didn't have the money.

By tradition, Ryan forced Holly to drive the both of them to the venue. The both of them sat in silence, so Holly decided she would put on some music. Within just a few seconds of the first song playing, it cut out. Ryan had turned it off. "Did I tell you that you could play music?" He questioned demandingly. Holly shook her head and apologised. "Good. You better get your fucking act together, because as I said last week, I will not hesitate. Just know that."

Around forty minutes or so, the undesirable couple arrived at the venue. Ryan got out quickly and went over to Holly's door and waited impatiently for her to get out and situate herself by his side. As she walked in, a few people looked at her, staring at her and her boyfriend. She felt so miserable. She knew they were looks of hatred for her, not admiration.

As she followed Ryan around, she looked across the room and saw Toby and Henry. They were talking to Bella and Tianah. Toby looked up, and Holly could swear, that for just a second, the both of them made eye contact. He had a look of fiery, white hot anger in his eyes. Holly sighed to herself. She'd mistaken Toby's hatred for Ryan as a hatred for herself. Henry didn't look up. He knew she was there, but it hurt too much to look at her.

Toby obviously didn't say anything in front of Bella, but he thought she looked astonishing. He knew she was pretty, she always presented herself as such, but this was a whole new level.

The grade of teenagers partied hard that night, and Toby and Henry made sure to keep a close eye on Holly and her boyfriend. That was, until, they lost sight of her.

Holly and Ryan were now outside, having an argument. Except, this was one different. Ryan was screaming at her because Holly asked him to stop insulting her. Holly had some sort of breaking point with him. She was absolutely miserable, and her dumbass boyfriend was making it damn near impossible to even try to enjoy her night.

"You're just fucking mad that I'm right!" He bellowed, getting closer to her. Holly screamed back in an attempt to get her point across. "Oh, so me not wanting you to relentlessly bully me all day every day suddenly makes me a bad person? Makes total fucking sense!" Ryan, more agitated now than ever, stepped towards her. "You're supposed to love me, Ryan! You're supposed to treat me well, but all you do is abuse me and treat me like shit!" She cried desperately.
