Holly raided her closet looking for a nice, comfortable pair of pyjamas to wear for the sleep out. She'd texted Taiya to ask when she'd be ready so that she and her dad could drive over and take Taiya with her on the way to the sleep out. She said she'd be ready in around 30 minutes.
Holly took this time to pack some snacks. She put 2 bags of chips, 2 bottles of soft drink and a few bars of chocolate. She was prepared. Once Taiya gave her the thumbs up, Holly and her father headed over to pick her up. Once they got to school, they noticed a lot of their friends were already there. Even a certain blonde and brunette duo. She didn't exactly know why, but she was anxious to see them. She quickly fixed her hair before walking through the gates.
The first activity of the night was a scavenger hunt. The teachers decided to arrange groups instead of letting the kids choose.
Mr Guretti, a stubby man with greyish hair stood in front of the students, his hands intertwined behind his back, ordering them into groups. "Okay so, Holly, you will be partnered up with Henry, Toby, and Joseph." Holly groaned. "Why does that narcissistic dumbass have to be on our team?" She thought. Holly scanned the crowd of her peers, hoping to find her team members, when she felt a shadow be cast over the front of her. "Looking for someone?" They questioned in unison. Holly turned back around, slightly startled. An awkward laugh escaped her mouth. "Yeah, you guys." She defended. The tall, brunette, mahogany eyed juvenile peered at her with a sense of humour. "Aw!" He gawked humorously. "Looks like somebody missed us!" He mocked. Holly looked at him, a tinge of annoyance evident on her face. "Not even!" She jeered. "You're on my team and that's the only reason why I even care about where you are!" Toby looked at her, a stain of light-hearted look of sympathy plastered across his face.
Henry seemed sort of fed up with the banter at this point. "You guys can argue later, we need to do this scavenger hunt." He spoke in annoyance. Toby and Holly looked at him. "Okay, dad..." Holly teased. He tried to conceal it, but a diminutive grin seemed to be evident on his face. Holly noticed this, but chose to ignore it, as she didn't think much of it. Succeeding the witty conversation, a short, ebony haired boy walked up to the unlikely trio. "Hey guys!" He hailed cheerfully. However, he took one look at Holly and his joyful expression subsided. "Oh." He spoken flatly. "It's you." Holly took one look at the infuriating, egocentric blockhead and scoffed in exasperation. "Yeah, it's me." She hissed. "You got a problem with that?" Joseph backed off, sensing he'd crossed a line. Nevertheless, it did not cease his obvious chagrin towards the blonde haired girl.
Toby shot Joseph a disapproving look, whilst Henry just stood there in silence.
"Moving on." Henry inelegantly uttered. "We need to complete the hunt." He voiced, unfolding the A4 piece of paper, revealing the criteria.

Toby looked to his 3 other teammates. "Alright." He began. "This looks fairly easy. Shouldn't take us more that maybe 30 minutes." The rest of the group nodded in agreement. Joseph looked as if he wanted to say something, but he kept quiet. Something nobody knew he could do.
"Okay, so the first thing on the list we have to find is a blue rubbish bin." Joseph spoke, gesturing to the first thing on the written down.
Holly looked to Joseph. "Well I'm pretty sure there's a blue rubbish bin near the playground equipment on the oval. If we go to that one, we'd be killing two birds with one stone." She suggested confidently. Toby and Henry gave her a look of validation, confirming their agreeable with her proposal.
Joseph didn't look happy. "I could've thought of that if you'd given me time to speak, Holly." He bitched. Holly rolled her eyes, sick of his constant fucking whining. "You have had plenty of time to speak. It's not like I cut you off every time you open that big fucking mouth of yours!" Joseph fell silent, brewing in his anger. Holly huffed with a sense of gratification.
The group made their way from the gym, all the way to the playground equipment that was located near the english block. Henry interrupted the silence. "So, uh..." he stuttered. "Who's phone are we using?"
"We can use mine!" Holly offered, pulling out her blue iPhone 13 Pro Max. Yet again, Joseph wasn't happy. "No!" He groaned. "We'll use my phone instead, it's got better quality. Makes my photos look awesome." He boasted. Holly took one look at him before snapping. "You you really fucking think we're going to use your shitty Samsung Galaxy s5 instead of my iPhone?! The only reason any of your pictures look good is because the camera quality is shit and distorts the image, meaning nobody can see you stupid fucking face!" Joseph looked at her, offended. "I am sick and tired of you! You've been nothing but a condescending little bitch ever since we got here! I swear on my life, if you do not shut that big fucking mouth of yours, I will ram this phone so far up your ass it comes out your mouth, and THEN i'll take a photo of you with it. Your shitty ass quality would make it look like you're just a little fucking sun tanned!" She yelled, full of anger.
Joseph didn't say anything. He just stood there. After a few seconds, he spoke. "Fine, we'll use your phone." He sniffled. Toby walked up to her, and bent down slightly. "Couldn't have said it better myself." He whispered, before walking over to the bin. Holly trailed after them, shocked at her sudden outburst.
