first day as girlfriends (requested)

"Here you go, ladies," The waitress said as she stopped in front of the table you and Momo would be sharing a meal at tonight.

You went to take a seat in the booth across from the booth Momo was starting to climb into, only for her to grab your hand gently and shake her head at you.

"No. Sit here next to me, darling,'

Something about the way she said it and the way that sweet name fell from her lips made your heart race.

"Okay." You replied and started to take off your hoodie, only for Momo to stop you.

"I've got it. Let me help you." She whispered in your ear as she helped you take your hoodie off and she put it on the inside of the booth before nodding to you. "You get in first."

You knew she wasn't going to take no for an answer so you sat down on the booth and scooted across it until you reached the wall.

"This place is so beautiful. I've never been here before." You said as you grabbed one of the menus on the table.

"Well, I'm happy that I was the first to bring you here. It's very cozy, isn't it? Has a very romantic atmosphere." She smiled before kissing your cheek softly.

"It does." You said and tried to hide how every time she spoke to you and kissed you, your smile just got bigger and bigger. "I don't know what to get. It all looks amazing!"

"Get whatever you want." She said as she put her hand on your leg. "I mean it, baby. Whatever you want. Don't worry about the price or the portion. You eat whatever you want. It's my treat."

You stared at her as she started to look over the menu, wondering how you got so lucky to be her girlfriend.

It might seem a little silly how you're wondering that already when it's only your first day together as a couple but it's a thought that crosses your mind quite often.

She treats you like you're a queen, making sure that you know how much she cares about you with every kiss and every sweet name that leaves her lips.

You've known her for a couple of months and you made your feelings for each other very clear from the start but you didn't want to rush into anything. You wanted to take things easy and get to know each other and go from there.

Today is the day that your relationship officially got a label. You're dating. You're girlfriends. You've said that out loud to yourself but each time, you feel as though you have to pinch yourself because it doesn't feel real.

You got so lost in your thoughts that you didn't even notice that you were staring at Momo still.

Until she started to tease you for it.

"Any reason that you've been staring at me for the last few minutes?" She teased as she lifted her gaze from the menu and to you.

At first, you became a little flustered.

But after a few seconds, you spoke up.

"I've got a good reason for that, actually."

"Yeah? That is?"

"You're beautiful." You said, the words falling from your lips so soft and it made her heart skip a beat.

"Oh, baby." She smiled as she kissed your cheek again. "You're beautiful."

"I was thinking, too."

"Yeah? What about?" She asked as she reached up to brush her fingers through your hair. "What's going on in that big beautiful brain, babe?"

"You."

Your confession made her eyes sparkle.

"I know we've only been girlfriends for, well, a few hours but I really like you. I like the way that you make me feel. You've made me happy since we first met a couple of months ago. I like the names that you call me and the way you kiss me. I like you a lot."

"I like you a lot too, baby."

You laid your cheek on her shoulder as she stared into your eyes.

"Don't ever feel too shy or nervous to tell me how you feel. I like knowing that you feel that way because so do I. You make me happy."

You watched as her lips tugged up in a bright smile.

She was unable to hold it back, just as you were with the smiles she brings to your face.

She leaned in and pecked your lips.

But a peck wasn't enough.

You wanted a real kiss.

So as she pulled back, you put your hand gently on the back of her neck and opened your eyes to meet hers and as she leaned back in with a small smirk on her lips, you did the same.

It wasn't anything steamy or deep. It was too soon for that. You didn't want to go that far that fast.

But it was romantic and soft and just perfect.

Just like your girlfriend is.

You didn't even think about pulling away until you heard someone clear their throat from behind Momo.

"Sorry to interrupt but are you two ready to order?" The waitress asked.

"Uh," Momo chuckled. "Not yet. Give us a few minutes?"

"Of course." The waitress replied.

You and Momo giggled as she walked away and after sharing a couple more kisses, you pulled away and looked at the menu.

"We should probably decide what to eat." You said.

"Yeah, we should." Momo agreed before laying her head on your shoulder, curling up to you as you both looked over the menus in front of you.
