"Y/N? Baby, are you here?" Momo called out as she walked inside.
The living room was empty, which was odd since it was still early and your day off, so Momo figured you'd be downstairs waiting for her.
"Baby?" She called out again and, this time, she got an answer.
"Upstairs!"
She took off her shoes and put her things down before hurrying up the stairs.
She appeared in the bedroom a moment later with a big smile on her face but it faded upon her seeing suitcases on the bed and duffle bags on the floor.
"What's going on? Baby, what's with the bags?"
You sighed and lowered your head before saying,
"I have to leave, Momo,"
"What? You're leaving?" She frowned. "Where are you going?"
"Away from here." You replied as you looked up at her.
"Why? Is something wrong? Are you feeling unsafe?" She asked worriedly before coming over to you.
"No. It's just that..." You paused for a moment, taking in a shaky breath. "Momo, I think we should break up."
Your words shattered her heart and the thought of losing you made tears fill her eyes immediately.
"You're joking, right? What happened? What went wrong to make you feel this way?" She asked as she reached for your hand, only for you to pull away.
"I just think that it's for the best. Things just aren't working."
"Well, tell me what's not working specifically so I can fix it!" She said as her lower lip trembled. "What will it take? I'll do anything, Y/N. Please. I don't want to lose you."
"I'm sorry." You whispered and bit your lip, trying to hold back tears upon seeing her so upset. "I can't, Momo,"
"I can't lose you." She said as she stared into your eyes. "You're the love of my life. You're the best thing I've ever had and I can't lose you, baby, I can't. Don't leave me, please."
It was hard until now to keep going with this prank but seeing her fall apart as she begs you not to go was too much to handle.
"I'm not going anywhere." You whispered as you wrapped your arms around her tightly.
"You're not?" She sniffled. "I'm happy to hear that but you changed your mind fast."
"I never planned to break up with you." You said as you wiped away her tears. "I was only prancing you."
"That was a prank?" She asked. "That's the meanest thing you've ever done!"
"I'm so sorry, my love. I never meant to let it get that far. I'm sorry."
She sighed as she looked into your eyes, seeing a look of genuine sadness and regret.
"I guess I can forgive you because I love you. But I'm still not happy about it." She said before pouting. "I'll just have to get my revenge."
Your eyes didn't get wide nor did you seem surprised by that.
"I figured." You chuckled. "Whatever it is, I deserve it. If you'll forgive me and know how truly sorry I am, then I can accept that."
"You're forgiven." She said before you threw your arms around her. "As long as you promise to never do that to me again."
"I promise, Momo. Never again." You promised and kissed her cheek softly, meaning it wholeheartedly.
