you adopt a pet together (requested)

"I can't believe we're really doing this. I'm so excited!" You squealed as you walked into the animal shelter with Momo.

Today was going to be one of the best days of your life.

Your relationship with Momo is serious enough now to where you recently got your own place together and to make your house feel more like a home, you want to adopt a pet together.

You're not quite sure what animal you want to get yet.

You have the feeling that you'll know when you see them.

"There are so many adorable animals here. How are we going to choose just one to take home?" You asked Momo as you looked around, wishing you could take all of the animals there home and give them a new forever home.

But, sadly, you couldn't do that.

"Just one for today. Maybe someday down the line, we can come back and adopt another." Momo suggested, to which you happily agreed.

"Sounds like a plan."

You looked around with Momo, both of you taking your time as you played with and pet different loving animals.

You walked around some more and looked around until one sweet animal caught your eye.

A puppy.

It was a cute little golden retriever and as you made your way over to her, she eagerly wagged her tail.

She was just as happy to meet you as you were to meet her.

"Momo! Come here, look at this precious puppy." You said.

Momo came over to you and reached her hand in to pet the sweet puppy, who licked her palm.

"Isn't she so cute? We have to get her!"

"Are you sure that this is the one, darling? Not that I don't already love her, trust me, I do. But I want you to be sure."

"I'm sure. She's perfect."

They let the puppy out of the cage and she immediately jumped into your arms to lick you.

She was so friendly and sweet and you knew immediately that you'd made the right choice.

"You're so cute!"

Momo smiled from ear to ear as she watched you interact with the puppy.

She couldn't deny it - her heart had already been stolen.

"Find the one?" The worker asked.

"Yes. This sweet puppy. We want her." You eagerly said.

And after filling out some paperwork, you got to take her home.

On the ride home, she stayed on your lap as Momo drove, just staring out the window, as calm as can be.

"I'm so happy." You said as you ran your fingers through the puppy's soft fur. "I love her so much already. Thank you, Momo. This is the best choice we've ever made."

"She is pretty perfect, isn't she?" Momo smiled as she pulled up to a red light. "Aren't you? Aren't you just the cutest little doggy in the whole wide world?" Momo asked as she peppered the puppy with kisses.

"We need to stop off at the store to get her some stuff like food, a leash, a water bowl, and things like that."

"Okay." You said, too in love with your new sweet puppy to tear your eyes off of her.

Momo just grinned happily, overjoyed to see you so in love and so happy with the newest member of your family.

She was going to be so spoiled, that was for certain.

Not just with material things such as toys and treats, but with love.

So much love.

You felt so happy that you could give her a new home, a loving home with two people that would adore her endlessly.

And you couldn't wait to go back again, knowing that you'd be adopting more animals in the future; ones that needed a good, loving home, something that you and Momo could provide together.
