As I laid in bed the next morning, I couldn't help but to think about the night before with Hallie.

In the best way possible.

I drove us to the vegan coffee and pastry cafe- which was so cute with incense burning, crystals everywhere, and dream catchers. There was even a hammock in the back of the shop.

"This might become my new spot." I said as we walked in.

"It's really cute here." Hallie agreed.

I got a lavender oat milk latte and Hallie got a caramel macchiato with almond milk. We also got a mini peach tart and a slice of confetti cake to split.

Hallie took out her card to pay.

"I've got it." I said, handing the Barista my card.

"Thank you." Hallie said, and I could see her cheeks flush.

The barista looked between us and smiled. She knew we were on a date.

Even though we weren't.

We sat down at a booth in the back of the cafe.

There was a small dish of rose quartz and amethyst at the table.

"You know, I tend to drink a lot of coffee at night." Hallie said, "So I don't mind this at all."

"Do you drink it a lot it stay up and play video games?" I asked her, taking a sip of my latte. "Delicious." I commented after I took a sip.

Hallie nodded. "Yes." she said, "I also stream when I play sometimes, so I have to be alert and talking."

"So you play, and people watch and listen to you play?" I asked.

Hallie nodded, "Yes. It makes me some money, and I enjoy doing it."

"That's very cool." I said, "So people get to see your cool set up you have?"

Hallie smiled. "Yes. Though many other streamers have way better set ups."

"I don't know yours is pretty neat." I smiled at her. Then I said, "What do you want to try first? The cake or the tart?"

"Let's try the cake first." Hallie said, "I know I'm twenty years old, but I'm a sucker for confetti cake."

"So am I!" I said, "It's my favorite."

We then smiled at each other.

Alina, stop smiling so damn much.

We each took a bite with our forks, and Hallie nodded and smiled.

She's adorable.

"That's so good." she said.

"Agreed." I nodded, "Now to the peach tart?"

We tried that as well- and it was phenomenal. Fresh and flaky with a hint of brown sugar.

"Everything is wonderful here." Hallie said, and then looked at me, "Including the company."

I felt a blush creep up on my cheeks.

What is this? Girls don't make me blush.

"Likewise." I said to Hallie.

"I hope you don't mind me asking." she started to say, "I've noticed you have a very slight accent. Are you from another country?"

"Ukraine." I said, "I came here when I was almost four years old. Why I barely have an accent."

"I wasn't sure if it was rude to ask." Hallie said, "But I've been curious."
