"If you get thirsty, or even hungry- feel free to go down to the kitchen and grab something." Victoria said before she left the guest room I would be staying in, "My house is your house."

"Thanks, Vic." I said, brushing out my ash blonde hair, "I appreciate it. Don't be surprised if I go downstairs at around 3 AM to get a snack. I always wake up hungry."

"Go through the pantry, get whatever you want. Oh, except for the Milano cookies. Those are my dads. He will be quite angry if you eat them." Victoria laughed.

"I will keep my hands off the Milanos." I chuckled, "Night, Victoria. I'll see you in the morning."

"Goodnight." Victoria gave me a smile, and then she shut the door.

I laid in the bedroom, on my phone.

All I could think about was Hallie.

A girl hasn't caught my attention like that since-

Not getting into it.

I sighed, and laid back on the bed.

Don't let your mind go there. Go to you know who- or go to Hallie. You can't do anything with her.

You would just hurt her.

As the rest of the night went by and turned into early the next day, I couldn't sleep. I laid there, in the bed, just looking at my phone.

It was 2:06 AM when I decided to get up.

"Fuck this." I said to myself, "I'm getting some water and a snack."

I felt a little bit weird going down to the kitchen of a house I hadn't been to before and just grabbing food and a drink- but I would do it quickly and then come back up.

Or so I thought.

When I got to the kitchen, I saw someone rummaging around in the refrigerator.

Hallie.

I felt my heart start to pound.

She must've heard me walk in, because she immediately turned around, with a plate in her hands.

"Alina, hi!" she chirped.

I could see on the plate she had some grapes, cucumber slices, and what looked to be a cinnamon roll.

"Sorry, I hope I didn't startle you." I said. It was dark in the kitchen, and the only light was coming from the glow of the refrigerator.

"A little, but it's okay." Hallie said.

She has a really cute voice. A bit on the high pitched side, very sing-songy.

Nope. Don't go there.

"I can't sleep." I said, "I figured I would grab some water and maybe a snack."

"Do you often have trouble sleeping?" Hallie asked me.

"Yes." I nodded, "I do."

"Same here." Hallie said, "I can never sleep. And I always get hungry in the middle of the night."

A smile crept on to my face. "Same here."

"Do you want a cinnamon roll?" Hallie asked me, "I made them yesterday."

"Okay. Sure." I nodded, "Thank you."

Hallie walked over to the kitchen counter, shutting the door to the fridge. She grabbed a pan that was on the counter, and took a cinnamon roll out of it with a metal spatula. She then put it on a plate and handed it to me.
