My New sister: Chapter 31

Ana's POV:

"Hey, Emily this might sound weird but can I get a sample of your blood. Please. I really need it" I say in one breath

"Ok. Ummm, it does sound weird that you want a sample of my blood but what for?" She asks

"Emily please I really don't have time to explain. Can I just get it please"

"Ok fine, you can have it. I'll mail it to you"

I smile. "Ok thanks, bye"

I hang up the phone.

I write on my board "Gave blood" before a knock was on my room door.

I get up off the floor that I was laying on and walked over to my door.

I open it and it was Gia.

"Hi!" She pulls me in a hug and I return it with a smile.

She pulls back and walks in closing the door behind her.

She realizes the cardboard on the floor.

"Seems like you've gone full on detective mode" she grins

I sigh.

"Well if my parents won't tell me who they are then I guess I'll have to find out on my own" I shrug my shoulders

I sit on the floor and criss cross apple sauce. Gia does the same and sits beside me.

"Ok, so I only have Avana and Ethan to call now"

I pick up my phone and type in Avana's name in my contacts and press call.

The phone answers at the third ring.

"Hey Ana I can't really talk right now I'm kinda busy!" She shouts over the phone

Gunshots were being heard in the background and Gia and I look at each other confused.

"The fuck" Gia mouths

"Ok, I'll call you back later" I say before hanging up.

"What the hell was that?!" I say

"I don't know? They sound like gunshots. Oh my gosh, is your cousin in a gun war."

"Seriously? I gun war. Are you dumb" I smack her on the forehead.

She rubs her forehead. "Ow"

I chuckle.

"Ok let's call Ethan now"

"He's kinda hot" Gia says

I look at her with disgust and gag.

"You wouldn't understand, he's your cousin" she says

"Don't you have a boyfriend" i ask

"Yeah, that doesn't say I can't say that someone's hot. Does it?"

I shake my head and laugh.

"Ok, so are you gonna call him or not" she says

"I am, i am" I then press the call button.

The phone rings but there was no answer in the end.

I chose to call him back later to see if he'd answer.

"Ana, Ana!" My mom squeals coming through my door.

Gia and I look up at her.

She was smiling from ear to ear as she looked down on us but quickly faded and her face turned confused.

"Why are you guys on the floor? I could have stepped on you"

I smile up at her. "Why were you so happy?" I ask

She doesn't answer but keeps her gaze infront of us on in the floor.

I follow her gaze and that's when I see the poster that I had on the floor.

"What are you doing?"she asks

"Mom i-its not what it looks like" I say trying to hide the poster.

"Is that Avana?" She asks

My face grew confused. "What about her?" I ask

Tears began to form in moms eyes and Gia looks around at me.

"She's grown so much" she cries

I stand up and walk over to mom.

"Mom" I say softly

She looks at me.

"Is Avana my sister?" I ask

She looks down from me.

"Mom!"

"Is Avana my sister?"

She looks at me with guilt spread all over her face.

I sigh

"Well fuck" I hear Gia

I go over to my bed and sit.

Avana and I had always had a good relationship but never in a thousand years would I think she was my biological sister.

All my life. All my life I have been lied to.

My whole entire life!

I'm so mad right now I think I could beat hulk.

Ok I get that you were young and all but you could have atleast told me.

She's a great a cousin but I guess I can't really call her cousin anymore.

Wait. Does she know?

Does she know that I'm her sister?

"Ana!" Gia snaps me out of my trance

"What!"

"Your mom said it was a girl and she's leaving for the rest of the night" she says

I look towards my door and notice she isn't there anymore.

Wait. A girl?

"A girl?! As in my baby sibling is a girl?"

She nods

All of a sudden I'm a little happy now.

It's shorter than usual but I'm tired and I wanna sleep😫.
