Graduation was in ten days, and I was looking up at the brighter side of the world. The final days of high school and everyone was definetely high on something. All of the couples were acting extra horny since after summer they are going to all break up. I had a pit feeling in my stomach, that's what Nathan and I are going to be.

The people in the hallways were staring at me after what had happened with the fight. Some would even come up to me and ask me questions, but I would just walk away.

My temptation to tell them to mind their own business got worse with each one.

Keep walking Destiny.

Keep walking Destiny.

"Keep walking Destiny," I heard Nathan say as he moved up next to me. It's like he knew what was going on in my mind. He holds my hand and walks me to my class.

"Bye bye," I say as I awkwardly walk into my class. To bad Nathan and I didn't have classes together.

As I sat at my desk and took out my laptop the entire class was staring at me like I was the new kid.

"Class, give Destiny some space. She probably doesn't want to talk about what happened," Mr. Miller announced to the class. They did not listen though they still were staring at me like a puppy.

I ignore the stares and look straight ahead at the board. Even though we are barely learning anything.

Nathan is sitting with some of his new friends at lunch so I sit with Bliss and Celeste.

"Oh look who is back," Bliss said with a wide smile.

"Sit, sit, sit," we have so much to tell you about.

"One second I have to give Nathan something.

"So your girlfriend is the hoe," One of Nathan's friend Joshua said.

"Yeah," Nathan agreed with a laugh. He looked behind him to see me. He expression changed quickly from laughter to 'I f*cked up'

I threw his sweatshirt at him and ran out of the cafeteria. I ran into the bathroom and Bliss and Celeste weren't to far behind, I guess they figured it out.

"Destiny, Destiny what happened?" Celeste asked as she knocked on the bathroom stall. The tears were already flowing from my eyes and I couldn't get them to stop.

"Something definetely is," Bliss said as she climbed under the stall and so did Celeste.

"Nathan, agreed that I am a hoe, to his new stupid jock b*tch friends."

"What the f*ck, You don't deserve that." Celeste gave me a side hug.

I wiped my eyes. I kind of just wanted to be alone.

I stare at the stall wall, thinking of everything. I hoped that this was a misunderstanding because I love Nathan.

"I think I'm okay now," I lied.

"Okay," The two girls left the stall and I followed trying to prevent tears.

"Destiny!"

Just keep walking Destiny.

Just keep walking Destiny.

Just keep walking Destiny.

I didn't want conflict, I would talk to him when I got home.

Instead of walking to my next class I walk out the back door. I went around the parking lot and got into my car. Before I could get in the car Nathan had caught up to me.

"Destiny, listen to me."

"Save it."

"You didn't hear the entire conversation."

"Yeah? I heard enough Nathan," I said as I open the car door.

"Of course, I don't think you are a hoe."

"You agreed!"

"When josh said 'hoe' it's like air quotes, I swear,"

"Yeah totally," I said as I got in the car and left. I took the extra long way back to my mother's apartment.

When I got to my mother's apartment, I flopped down on my bed hugging my pillow.

About thirty minutes later I heard a knock on my door. I didn't say anything but he came in anyway.

"Destiny, just listen to me," I turned away from him.

I didn't want to fight with him but I felt hurt.

"What?" I asked as I sat up.

"Why would I ever say you are a hoe? I wasn't agreeing with him. Everybody calls you that, and I was going to defend you."

"Yeah, well you didn't."

"You didn't give me a chance!"

"Well, you wouldn't have either way, you just want to cool in front of your new friends, like a ten year old."

"I defended you about it, in front of the people who did it, if I thought you were a hoe and cheated on me I would have broken up with you," Nathan shouted.

Turn away from him, and he continued "I'll prove it to you," Nathan pulls out his phone and scrolls through some messages.

"Here, look,"

'Did you hear what they are saying about Destiny?' (Joshua)

'Yeah, it's all bullshit'

'You sure?'

'Positive'

"See? I would never say anything like that about you ever."

I still didn't say anything I sat with my arms crossed looking at the wall. My heart is telling me to trust him, but I am still not sure.

Nathan did defend me always in front of Jeremy and Lilith, I have no need to not trust him now, I guess it was just some bad timing.

I embrace him.

"Thank you for trusting me."

"I always will."

That was the first time Nathan and I ever fought and I hated it, with every bone in my body. This was just high school, pretty soon we will be in the real world. The thought of that made my stomach uncomfortable. I hug Nathan tighter as warm tears slid down my cheeks.

These tears were silent, to many mixed emotions to make a sound.

I felt his hair in my fingers, hoping that we could be this close forever.

It felt like a crime making them fight but I had to.
