April had emerged, the weather was getting slightly warmer and of course a lot of rain. I was watching the rain shower, the sun was still blooming in the sky like the flowers in my front yard. It had been two days since Nathan had moved into my car. I wanted Nathan to have the best birthday, it will probably just be with me but whatever. I tend to make lists, I am not a freak about it but for big events I want to be organized.
I looked through the bottom draw of my desk where I keep my notepads and notebooks. I saw a glittery notebook with a lock and it was my middle school diary, I still had it. The temptation I had to read it was out of this world but I controlled myself and put it away. I took a random green leather notebook and started to write Nathan's name on the top of the page. I was home alone, my dad and mom took my brother to laser tag with his friends. I passed. I heard a knock on the door, I knew it was Nathan. I walked down the stairs and opened the door, it wasn't Nathan it was Bliss.
"Hello?" I said as I opened the door.
"Hey, I just wanted to say something to you."
"Fine, go on," I said in monotone.
"Lilith started treating me like sh*t because I told her I don't want to use you," I raised one of my eyebrows as she spoke.
"Maybe we could be friends?" she asked semi-nervously.
Great, more drama. I don't really trust Bliss but she seemed genuine.
"Um... Sure," I decided I'll give her a chance.
"Want to go to the mall tomorrow?" she asked.
"Okay," I replied. She smiled brightly and turned around as she turned around. She had gold streaks and silver beads in each of braids.
As soon as Bliss's car left my driveway, Nathan turned around the corner in my car. I let him use it to go to the store. I walked down the steps to the driveway. The showers were still heavy and the sun was still in the sky. My hair was already wet, and my sweatshirt was rejecting the water.
Nathan got out of the car and the water was hitting his bangs, the water was dripping off his bangs to his face. He had taken his sweatshirt off and was just wearing his green t-shirt.
"You've got to look for a rainbow," He said as he closed the car door. I looked up and saw a rainbow reflecting off the soaking wet road.
"I got these for you," he said as he handed me a bouquet of tulips and roses.
"Thank you, I love them," I think the butterflies in my stomach were overwhelmed.
"They didn't have any starbursts," he said as he looked down.
"April fools," he said as he grabbed my waist. That was such a bad one but it was cute.
"You had to, didn't you," I said with a laugh.
"It's tradition, one time my brother tried to put Nair in my shampoo but then he got caught," he said as he took the bags from the backseat.
"That's not a fool," I said.
"Oh I know he is just a d*ck," he said with a smirk.
"I fooled my brother by gluing his soap bar so it didn't work. He was six so he cried to my dad," I said as I opened the front door.
We put the bags on the counter, then I sat on the edge of the kitchen island counter. Nathan came and put water in a vase for the flowers.
"Why are you sitting there," he said looking over to me.
"I used to do this all the time,"
"He came over and stood in front of me, I put my hands on his shoulders and kissed him.
I got down from the counter and checked the time.
"Sh*t my dad is almost home," I don't why I am keeping this so secretive, I just haven't told him.
I kissed Nathan bye and he drove my car off to the Target parking lot, that's where he parks for the night.

I woke up in the morning to my alarm killing my amazing dream. It was monday which meant school, and the mall with Bliss. I woke up, did my morning routine and went out to the car where Nathan was standing. I got in and drove to school.

"Hey, can you show me where senior Math is?" A girl approached me and asked. She had black wavy hair and dark brown eyes, she was wearing skinny jeans with a pink fleece cardigan.
"I'll show you, I'm in the same class," I said calmly as I showed her the way.
"You're going to love Ms.Anderson she is so nice," I said as we turned into classroom 207.
I sat down at my desk, and the girl talked to Ms.Anderson.
"Hey everyone, this is Celeste Chan, our new student." Celeste looked embarrassed. "You can sit next to Destiny," she said gently. I waved.
"Hey, thanks for showing me the way here," she said, relieved.
"No problem, you can sit with me and my friend Nathan at lunch if you want,"

"Mr. Steinfeld is so cranky," Celeste and I were talking as we walked to the lunch table with our trays. Nathan had already gotten his and was sitting at an empty lunch table. We walked over to him.
"Nathan this is Celeste, Celeste this is my friend Nathan," Maybe that was a mistake, I probably shouldn't have said friend but he never put a label on it.
Nathan waved, he didn't say anything the entire lunch period.

Celeste and I were really getting along, maybe I finally had a friend. I had to go to the mall with Bliss and Nathan had a shift. I walked over to my car and Nathan was already leaning up against it.
"Can I talk to you?" he asked before I got into the car. Why does my life have so much drama?
