"What are you doing?" I asked him with the biggest smile I could produce. I don't know why I'm like this around him.

"Well, you have to use you're free pretzel card at some point,"

He was wearing a dark purple hoodie with jeans, which he wears under his uniform. I saw his hair was combed, still in its normal middle part.

"I do," I said, why do I always respond so basically?

He went over to the bench by the fountain where he first gave me his number. It's crazy how that was over a month ago.

I sat next to him, he looked nervous. We are so comfortable around each other so I knew he was going to ask me something.

"What's up?"

"I- I want to ask you on a date," he said very nervously.

"Go on then," I said with a laugh so that he would know that I wanted to.

"Can I take you on a date?" he asked me.

"Of course," I could see his face muscles relax as I said that. His nervous look turned into a huge grin like a preschooler who was just told they can get a second recess.

"I subtly hinted at the flower garden a while back, there is a path that leads to it behind my house,

"How about tomorrow?" I asked him.

"After school?" he said.

"Yeah,"

I smiled brightly at him. I swear I saw his eyes twinkle and he blinked quickly which by the past few weeks I think I have picked up that means he is happy. His hand was right next to mine, since he made the move to ask me out I grabbed his hand. I could feel butterflies in my stomach, I have felt them before but not like this. This was different, unlike everybody else I have dated Nathan cares about me, he is a kind gentle soul. These butterflies are genuine.

I can see his bright blue eyes look at me with his strong jawline, and his hair in his eyes since it was extra combed. I wanted to kiss him but I know it is too soon for that. I know that will happen one day. That is a day I can't wait for.

We must have sat in silence for like a solid minute just looking at each other.

Nathans pov

Looking at this beautiful girl with dark beautiful brown eyes, her hair in a messy ponytail she must have been doing homework. She was wearing a gray unzipped hoodie, with a tee shirt of a daisy and ripped up 90's jeans.

I met this girl over a month ago but it feels like I have known her for years. I knew giving her my number was risky but it was definitely worth it. She grabbed my hand and held it and I did the same to her. I looked at her in her beautiful eyes, never wanting this moment to slip. I do not want to go home, I want to stay here with her.

At my house my brother probably just got back from football practice and acting like a total d*ck, My brother Tyler is the athlete of the house, even though we are the same age he is definitely idolized in my house. His trophies hung up everywhere, and he brings home a different girl every week. I don't do any sports but I am really smart when it comes to math but my sport driven parents seem to overlook it. I work at a pretzel shop almost everyday of the week so that I can save up enough money to survive college.

Looking into Destiny's eyes I feel warm, safe. It's just the two of us, that's all it is. I move closer to her and she does too, her eyes close and she moves towards my face but I hear a voice.

"Hey B*tch,"
