(April 8th)

"Happy Birthday Nathan!" I said as I knocked on the window of my car, he was sleeping so softly, his hair touching his eyelashes and his face relaxed. He woke up and rubbed his eyes and looked over to me and laughed lightly. I could only hear him the smallest amount. I had a pink fluffy bathrobe under my tee shirt and shorts. Frost was covering everything, my car, lawn and driveway.

It was 10 A.M and I had a whole day planned. To be completely honest, I had no idea what I was going to do until yesterday. Nathan is moving in with my mom, so I was going to help him decorate his room. My mom wanted to pitch in so she gave me some money to add on. I unlocked the car door and sat in the backseat with Nathan, he stretched and got up. He put his arm around me. I kissed his cheek and took both of his cold hands and lead him out of the car. If all goes to plan, tonight Nathan won't be sleeping in my car. Nathan and I had both called in "sick" for school and my mom verified it. I lead Nathan in the empty house and gave him some coffee. I went into the bathroom and got ready, I put on a soft blue tee-shirt and jeans. I even did a full face of makeup and left my hair down and curled. As I brushed out my curls, Nathan knocked on my door and I opened the door.

"Wow, you look so beautiful," he said as he wrapped his arms around me from behind.

"Thank you," I said slowly as the butterflies escalated in my stomach to my throat.

I turned to face him and put my arms on his shoulders.

"My mom said, your mattress and desk came in," I said as I moved closer to him.

"She didn't have to buy me anything," he said quietly I could feel his minty breath on my face.

"Lets go," I said as I took his hand and lead him to the front door.

Yesterday I had gone to the store and got everything Nathan needed for his room. I know his favorite colors and everything he likes, so I was hoping he would love what I had done. Yesterday night, after Nathan had gone to bed, my mom and I decorated his entire room. I thought it looked perfect for him, I just hoped he would love it.

My mother had given me a key to her apartment, she was at work.  I unlocked the janky door and opened a second door to Nathan's new room. I turned around and smiled at him, waiting for his reaction. He looked around the room and a huge smile appeared on his face. He embraced me, "Thank you so much, I love it." I kissed him, while holding his cheeks in my hands.

The entire apartment was now fully decorated. My mom and I had stayed up all night last night decorating it to perfection. Nathan had mentioned how much he likes mountains, so I planned on driving two hours to the nearest one.

I sat on Nathan's desk chair and spun in the chair. "Do you want to go a mountain?" I asked awkwardly as I looked up at the ceiling.

"Really?" Nathan asked like a child.

"Yeah," I said as I got up, I was dizzy from all of the spinning.

When were finally settled into the car, I gave Nathan the aux chord. He played some indie rock music.

I drove through the entrance of the mountain, you could drive up it. Thank god, I can not climb. I wasn't sure if my car would make it. There was not to many people there since it was the middle of a weekday, maybe only 3 other cars.

My car stuttered, but eventually got it's groove and began smoothly driving along the steep slope. It would only be about a 10-15 minute drive up the mountain. I looked over from the drivers seat to see Nathan looking at the view of the trees the leaves were beginning to grow but some of them were still bare.

A few more cars started to file in behind mine. I could see the top of the mountain.

**

When we had finally gotten to the top I parked my car and Nathan and I began to walk to the actual top. The weather was freezing, I had put on a jacket and rubbed my hands together. Nathan stood against the railing facing towards the view.

"So pretty," I said as I shivered slightly. My ears had pressure on them causing me to barely be able to hear.

"Thank you Destiny," Nathan said quietly, as he put his arm around me.
