"And here's the village's clinic."

Sasuke watched as the pinkette took a look around inside the small building. He knew she was already making plans in her head on what she was going to do to make it improve, as well as what she was going to teach everyone.

It'd been a while since he'd seen her with that look in her eyes. The one that screamed she was going to help every single person that needed it without fail.

"This is usually where Kana works whenever she's not helping the women in the village sew or clean," he added.

Sakura nodded as she walked back to him from across the room. "I'll introduce myself to everyone in the morning. I'll also be able to keep an eye on her so you don't have to worry as much."

"She's a handful." Sasuke sighed, recalling all the trouble she'd been through. "Lately, she's only obedient when she decides to be. Nothing I can't handle, but still, it'd be helpful to have an extra pair of eyes on her."

After spending an hour showing Sakura around the village, they both finally decided to stop at the village diner for dinner. The sunset was beginning to set, showing it'd be dark soon. They wanted to get back to the cabin before then.

Sasuke sat casually across his teammate with a neutral look on his face as if it were just another day, however, he was the complete opposite inside. He wasn't sure why he felt awkward and unprepared.

If it were Naruto who decided to randomly visit, he knew he wouldn't feel as strange as he was now. The feeling annoyed him.

When she'd showed up at his front porch, he only greeted her before leaving to work. For whatever reason, he needed a moment before getting into the details on why she'd unexpectedly shown up.

He needed to ease himself.

"Has there been any trouble?" Sakura asked once they ordered.

Most likely to not sit in uncomfortable silence again.

"No." Sasuke tried pushing down the feeling. "Not yet anyway. I figured since it's such a poor village, they wouldn't come looking for her here, but there could be a chance they'll find this place eventually."

"Why do you say that?"

Sasuke let the waiter set their meals down before answering, "The other girl you saw in the cabin with the princess."

"Kimi?"

He nodded. "She isn't a villager here. She's a servant who worked inside Oikawa Castle. She made her way here on her own."

Sakura looked at him with shocked eyes. He knew what she was thinking. She wanted to know why he allowed her to stay and why he hadn't relocated yet.

"I don't think she's an enemy, but one could never be sure."

"Then why'd you leave her alone with the princess?"

"To test her. If she runs, I'll be able to catch her even with the head start."

"What is she to the princess to come all this way by herself?" Sakura wondered out loud. "The Kingdoms people don't ever leave their lands, especially not now. The entire border line is dangerous because of the incident happening at the castle. She could've also run into the wrong people."

"Ah,"

"The fact that she tested her luck must mean she really cares for her. Are they close friends?"

"You can say that." Sasuke drawled.

Sakura frowned in confusion at his answer, unsure what it meant before shrugging it off. "There's also the possibility she's working with the enemy to help get your guard down. How else is a civilian girl able to find the princess on her own?"
