The morning sunlight poured in through the thin curtains allowing them to see one another perfectly.

He pushed in and out of her while they shared the same intense pleasure pulsing throughout their entire bodies, her moans filling the room as they did most mornings. He then waited until their climax fully subsided before pulling out of her, rolling off to lay on his side of the bed.

There was no way he would ever get enough of it—enough of her. Each time was like the first time, only more experienced.

Lord knew how much he'd miss her.

Fuck.

"How long do you think you'll be gone for?"

Naruto turned his gaze from the ceiling to his wife. Though her cheeks were still tinted with her cute blush, her eyes looked back at him sadly. He knew she was dreading his departure just as much as he was.

"No more than a month," he answered after pulling her naked body closer to his own.

Hinata rested her head on his chest with an arm and leg hugging him. She let out a content sigh when he started tracing his fingers up and down her back.

It wasn't often when either of them took a mission that lasted longer than a day or two, but when they did, they always hated it.

"It's been a while since you've seen Sasuke. Are you excited?"

"Hah!" Naruto scoffed. "Yeah, right. I'm only going because Kakashi wanted someone who could check things out for him."

Hinata giggled seeing right through his facade. He missed his teammate dearly and couldn't wait to see him.

"I hoped things are going well for him."

"Like you said, it's been a while. I'm sure he's nice and relaxed by now."

Though she wanted to agree, something told her the raven might not be as fine as they constantly told themselves he was.

"What is it?" Naruto asked, sensing her hesitation.

"Do you think he's really alright?"

"Yeah, I bet everything is going smoothly."

"No, not the mission." Hinata lifted herself on his chest to face him. "I meant him. Do you think he's..."

"Finally moved on?"

Hinata nodded, blushing slightly at how easily he always read right through her.

"Honestly, I don't know." Naruto sighed. "He claimed he was before he left."

"But we both know that's not true. He just found things to distract himself with."

Naruto briefly recalled the constant nights his teammate spent at the pub drinking as well as the multiple times he followed a girl home right after.

"Maybe being away from Sakura instead of just avoiding her helped him move on," he said, hoping it wasn't merely wishful thinking.

He wanted nothing more than for Sasuke to let go of something he couldn't have. If he didn't, it was only going to keep weighing on him. He wanted everyone on his team to be genuinely happy, and in order for that to happen, Sasuke had to move on.

"I'm sure he was able to heal with the time he spent away. After all, traveling always helped with whatever he was going through." Naruto added confidently.

Maybe if the universe heard him, it might come true.

"You really think so?"

"Yeah, totally." Naruto beamed. "I bet Sasuke's doing great right now!"
