It's been a month since Maine and I got engaged. And up until now, I still can't get over the fact na I'm getting married to the love of my life. Mabuti nalang, everything went well according to our plans. One of the reasons why I'm so busy the past few months is that I and both of our families were preparing for the proposal.

Malaki ang pasasalamat ko sa lahat ng tumulong sa akin para maging successful ang proposal ko for Maine. First, kay God and Mom. I know they're guiding me from up there. Second is, siyempre 'yong family namin. Her parents were very supportive also. Tiniis nilang itago ang lahat sa kanya. It must be a struggle for sure especially since kasama na nila ulit si Maine sa bahay.

I'm also grateful for my family kasi they are super hands on lalo na si Dad. Siya mismo ang naghanap ng pwedeng mag drone lights show and he called Pico De Loro himself, from the room reservations and everything about the proposal, since he is aware na sobrang busy ko because of my schedule. Nagkaroon pa nga sila ng brainstorming sa kung anuman ang pwedeng gawin para sa proposal.

Thanks also to Sir Jason Magbanua for shooting the proposal video and to my directors sa noontime show because they allowed my old production number to play para huwag lang magduda si Maine that day. Her sister Colleen also played a big part since she knows her best. Overall, lahat naman ng nasa plano ay talagang nangyari.

And she said YES to my wedding proposal on the day of her birthday!

So, here we are sitting beside each other infront of our families. We are doing the pamamanhikan since both were conservative familirs and for me, mas gusto ko na sundin at gawin pa rin ang tradisyon na ito ng mga Pilipino na nakakalimutan na ng karamihan lalo na ng mga modern day couples.

Simple lang naman ang ginawa naming pamamanhikan. Dad and I just said our intentions about having Maine as part of the family with sincerity. We also talked about the possible wedding date, which is probably 6 months from now. I think kaya naman. I'm prepared for this already. Medyo gumagaan naman na 'yong schedule ko.

I personally requested sa management na hindi masyadong loaded ang schedule ko since we are preparing for the wedding. After a few minutes, natapos na din ang naging pag-uusap ng families namin and we are having dinner na together sa labas ng bahay nila. Nag set up sila ng mahabang table and we enjoyed the foods that we bought.

"Love, are you ready for tomorrow night? Sunduin kita mga 5pm?"

"Sige, love."

Pinaalala ko sa kanya ang dadaluhan naming awards night bukas ng gabi. Nominated kasi ako for Best Actor sa isang movie na ginawa ko last year. This is a memorable moment for us since this will be the first time na we will be seen in public after the engagement.

Marami pa kaming pinag usapan tungkol sa nalalapit naming kasal pero our families assured us na susuportahan nila kami sa kung anuman ang magiging desisyon namin. Tutal, it's our wedding and kaming dalawa naman talaga ang highlight ng okasyon.

Mga bandang alas onse ng gabi ay nagpaalam na din kami sa pamilya ni Maine. We need to go home since I still have work to do at Eat Bulaga tomorrow and a quick photo shoot pagdating ng hapon, bago umattend ng awards night.

"See you tomorrow, my fiancé." Sabi ko sabay halik sa pisngi niya.

"See you, love. Call me nalang bukas." Namumula ang mga pisngi niyang tugon sa akin.
