Remember that things in this book are changed for sake of the storyline. Success of clubs, background story of players etc are not always true. Thanks.

I can see you standing next to me
in and out somewhere else right now
you sigh, look away
I can see it clear as day
close your eyes, so afraid
hide behind that baby face

Aurie's POV

I wip around at the sudden call of my name, my eyes falling on someone that was a lot less pretty in my memory. I've seen her many times in the internet but never met her in real life. I shrug my shock off tho, a playful smirk finding it's way on my face. It's a girl around my age, probably a bit older, her dirty blonde hair up in a low bun. She must be some inches taller than me, wears a pair of joggers and a grey sweater, both with the light green Wolfsburg print. My eyes travel up to her face and from her soft pink lips, small nose covered in barely visible freckles, probably because the sun isn't shining that much yet, it's March after all, to her soft forest green eyes. I notice a little smirk playing on her lips, she's completely aware of the fact that she looks flawless. Jill Roord. Midfielder for Wolfsburg and the Netherlands. ,,I'm Jill. From Wolfsburg you know? We're going to play against each other next weekend.", she says and I smile not really knowing what I'm supposed to do. I never was good at meeting new people, it's something I'm terrible at and terrified of. Usually I would just try to hide behind Pernille or Magda, or Sam or anyone that I know and trust, but guess what? They're not here.

,,Hi.", I say awkwardly, ducking my head in and hoping she would just let it be. ,,What are you doing here?" Wait, didn't I just say I want this conversation to end? I can't make out from where my sudden confidence is coming from but apparently it's already gone again anyway so..

,,Oh, I'm getting a coffee with my friends in the coffee shop over there and just needed some air.", she answers and rocks back and forth on her feet. I don't dare to ask why, I barely know her after all but it's not difficult to see she's bothered by something and awkward now as well. So I look around briefly, my gaze falling onto a small and sweet coffee shop, where I assume her friends are sitting in.

,,Actually I would like a hot chocolate as well.", I speak in a small voice, but I'm kind of proud I even said anything at all. I watch as her eyes light up slightly and a soft smile starts to play on her lips.

,,Okay. You can meet my friends too if you want!", she says, getting excited by the thought of it. She turns around and starts walking towards the entrance, stopping and silently asking for me to speed up, which makes me chuckle. I rush to her side and together we enter the small shop, the door chiming as a signal someone entered. I know this place, I used to come here a lot with my mom when I was younger, but stopped when she died and now the familiar scent of burnt wood, tea and coffee brings memories up that I didn't even know I still had. The nervous smile on my face deepening as I can't make out if the feeling in my belly is good or not.

,,Aurie?", asks an older woman behind the little bar. I look up to her, she has short white hair and is pretty small, warm facial features and a gentle, yet exited smile plastered on her face. I search in my memory for a name, because I sure as hell know this woman.

,,Miss de Loughrey!", I say, finally remembering her name, a smile breaking out on my face as all those happy memories from my childhood float back into my mind. Her face lights up as she realizes I recognized her and she rushed over to me, studying me in detail.
